fire_tyre u can try ah boy shop at kelantan lane for the key ignition system for wave

I was quoted at $60 with installation and tow. (local set ignition)

 

Now he said dont have local set and wants to charge me ($105 for the agent set)

 

Can i verify whether this is true.

As im new to wave, im not sure of the pricing.

 

Anyone fixed their ignition on their Wave S before.

Need your enlightenment.

I need some help.

Been trying to search in the wave thread but could not find on this info.

Hope some brothers/sis can help me on this.

 

Im riding a honda wave version S and discovered my key ignition, someone tried to use a foreign object (i suspect is a screwdriver) to "i think to start my engine", but that person failed.

 

This happens at sengkang MSCP.

 

Now I cant even put in my key, as the hole is so distorted.

 

I need some help.

 

1) Where can i can the key ignition replaced ? Any recommendation??

2) Whats the cost im looking at?

I am dying to pimp up my "Betsy" which is a Honda Innova 125i.

 

Thus, I'm seeking your wisdom to the following questions.

 

1) In 80/100-17M/C (46P), what does the 46P mean?

 

2) I would like to change my exhaust pipe. If i just buy a GPR SCOM.50 slip-on, can I custom make the rest of the pipe to fit my Innova? If yes, where in Singapore am I able to make one?

 

3) Where can I find more info about Power Booster?

I recently experience my handle shake very violently while riding. My tyres is abt 1 yr old and it had clocked a mileage of abt 12000km. My tyres were inflated to the correct pressure frequently. So the symtom I facing is due to wat reason? Need professional advice. Thanks

Kupster, i had the same crazy vibrations but from my rear tire.

The problem is the rubber tire came out of place from the rim.

check the place where the rubber tires touches the rim.

The vibrations i felt were:

slow speed: low frequency

high speed: high frequency

squarebox maybe u need to change ur tyres or put tube inside if urs is tubeless.

 

im also having a problem with my wave, headlite and taillight now no haf and cannot crank start. push start also at first can but now cannot. i thought its the battery problem and bought a shinko battery at FJT for 26 bux but after i change the battery still no haf headlites and tail lights even though now can crank start. also i suspect that the battery isnt charging. like this what can the problem be? anyone know and can share?

arsonist: i had the problem a long time back. the result the air valve of the inner tube spoilt, the tire flat suddenly. tow to shop and replace tube. All fine after the change.

 

how abt meter lights? have?

u crank till u flood the carburetor?

Flood until the spark plug wet?

 

If not try cranking and ram throttle(open throttle as u crank).

now my bike in jb bikeshop, mech say starter coil burnt thats why no charging. but tt day (sun) he dun have the part so i leave my bike there. mebe fri nite then i take back my bike. hope he found the part by then if not have to buy from FJT and bring there on saturday.

how much the mech in jb charges u? i change in sg b4 for the magnetic coil. besides magnetic coil, u need to change gasket and engine oil too. cost me ard 90 bucks.

my bike still there dunno abt the charges though. will update once collected my bike most probably by sat nite or fri nite.

 

for clutch plate why dun u go boon siew see if they still offering the 25% off parts thing. u call boon siew ask for quotation and then call FJT to double check if really Boon Siew are selling the orig parts at 25% discount.

 

i mite be thinking of changeing some parts of my wave too.

hi guys i been riding my new wave for 3 months now and the mileage is about ten thousands plus km,then today i found out that my front brake fad worn out already....is it normal for wave?

Cause last time i'm riding yamaha spark the brake pad can last until about almost 30,000 km and i more thing i use an oversize brake disc on my spark last time...is it due to the oversize disc that can make the pads last longer.

i guess quite normal la.. up to usage.. if u always brake and move then pads will wear out fast.

take note if pads worn already pls change or not later brake disc will get damaged.. but brake disc can be bought at FJT for $40 only.

 

btw ur wave is wave S or R or I version?
