I like the Yoshimura racing footrest. Looks and feels more sturdy than the rest of 'no brand' footrest.

Spoke rims are good only if u use Excel Takasago rims with Talon Hubs and Buchanan spokes

i kinda agree... once i removed my standard footrest on my sp for some YOSHIMURA footrest, quality was fack and it fell apart @ the conenctign rod (gear change).

then i got e POP racing footrest, VERI GOOD!!! sturdy and solid!!! but got stolen!!!! in the end i tow e bike to shop and fix back the standard...

so the morale of story is, if u get cheap, might as well dont get.

if u get expensive 1, prepare for it to get stolen...

Arrrgh.... thieves again??!!!!! :angry::angry::angry:

Standard would catch much attention. My wave standard everything except the rims. Waiting for my exhaust to fill with rust but it seems like it is quite tough.

hi..

need some expert advice as i am about to change my tyre both front and rear.

i just use my bike for transport and i ride with my wife to work. any suggestion on the tyre size and brand? i read previous posting, some people said TT900 Dunlop, Battlax or Michelin.

what is the suitable one just for normal transport?

front: 70/80 or 80/80 or...??

rear: 80/80 or 90/80 or...??

if i invest using battlax will it be worth spending compare with dunlop?

i saw posting ppl said tt900 from Thailand is not a good one.

should i change to sport rim? i read u all are talking about it.

which shop has good price for changing tyre? FJT?

thanks all :)

Just my 2 cents...

I m using 70/90 front, 80/90 rear. Thai TT900 forget it la... it will swell after a while. I m on IRC Gold Series Wings, good in the dry and just be a little careful in the wet will do. Cheaper too. Changing to sports rims is stronger and can install tubeless tyres.

Thanks for the info.

if i change to sport rim, do i have to change back to original one for inspection?

will consider IRC then.

roughly how much change front n rear tyre plus the sport rim for both?

No, u dont have to change back to original rims for inspection.

Price wise i really cannot help u as the rims and fairly new IRC tyres were changed by the previous owner.

Tubeless tyres will still fit spokeys with the help of a tube. :cheeky:

BATTLAX:

Good tyres to invest but it will tear out much more faster if using for despatch job-

but since ur only using for transport i assume it will last longer-

SIze: front and rear 80/90 cos too heavy for our wave to use 90/80 for rear. . . .

DUNLOP:

forget thai made dunlops-:nono:

Im on IRC gold series right now

cost: 45per tyre-

Size: front & rear 70/90

so far dry road seems pretty good but wet(almost every tyre gets slippery in the wet so u cant compare much). . .

sport rim more solid compare to spoky-

more variety-3spoke,6spoke,8spoke etc. etc.:thumb:
