Hello colleagues :)

This my first post in the forum and I'm sorry if it's a wrong place.

I am looking for a stock turn signal indicator for VLS: I got the bike with one indicator cracked. Is there any shop on the East where I can try to find it?

Hahaha, we'll see )) Will keep the community posted on the progress.

So far: got rid of the pilion stuff, now ride solo.

Struggling to buy a spanner wrench to adjust the rear shock preloader. It is currently set to "2", almost the stiffest one. I don't mind the short shock travel but it keeps the bike's tail high... I want it lower )) So want to release the preload ring to a higher setting but I need that stupid spanner wrench.

If u guys interested i can try get the rear shock lowering kit for u. Thot of getting it myself. Lowers the rear by abt 1-1.5".

But ull need to remove the shock, remove the link and spring, then assemble the shock and install back onto ur bikes. Fortunately i have the tools to do the mod but it'll take time if u all don't mind.

Must've softened the spring adjuster. Be careful not to bottom out.

Oooooo, have been out of town for a while and now see some life here )))

It is great to know we still have a few springers here in SG!

Sprint74, thank you for the offer. I think I will try to release the pre-load ring first and see if the bike gets any lower after that. Damn, if I only had that stupid wrench... It is nearly impossible to reach this adjustment collar with other tools: it is completely covered with pipes/wires and plastic covers. Some people use a long screwdriver and a hammer but i don't like such a brutality ))))

I have a shock wrench. Give me a PM if you still haven't sorted out yours. Mine's set at position 3 viewed from the left and side panel removed. Perfect for 1 up riding with a pair of Givi E21s and a raincoat. I'm weighing 70ish kgs and it hardly bottoms out. But individual preferences varies. ;)

Changing the preload does not change the shock length if your intention is to lower the ride height in my opinion. But always give it a try. You'll never know...

defected, you're right, the shock won't get shorter. Correct me if i'm wrong, but, to my understanding, the stock preload ring reduces the shock travel by shifting it to its top position preventing "bottoming-out". So, if we release the preload we extend the shock travel and effectively allow the bike go lower when loaded.

Yeah!! Thanks for the wrench!! Will PM you :))
