hi guys that work in the oil/gas industries. I got a question to ask , hopefully someone would be able to clear some of my doubts..

 

As i'm still serving my NS now. and would probably be studying part time deg august this year.

would it be advise to get into this line, i know most jobs in Jurong island is shift work as for technician level. timing for night class is 6-9pm should be 3 time a week

 

and i got diploma in Chemical eng but only offer to get in for Mech eng for degree. would it still be good in the oil/gas industries?

 

i would like to know more about process operation technician. could someone tell me more about it, and with my NS vocation as a technician would it somehow give me a better position to join. hope to hear from u guys soon. thanks in advance

hey bro, just find in the ads. should have. I last saw exxon hiring elect tech. and there are some mechatronics dip holder apply for process tech job . sometimes its not abt the cert. Just the way you present yourself and your work ethics will get you in =)

hmm..as far as i know, not many companies giving out sponsorship except bigger companies like exxon or shell. you can go to their website and see..they have some slots for internship and also graduates..

i used to apply for ops side at EM last year june. only got notification in oct 09. heh~

yeah... I went 4 the interv but 4gotten to ask when will they draw an outcme of the interv... It's a contract position. The agent cldn't give a concrete time frame as to when EM ll contact them...

your opsoc still valid or not? hee . got 3 years expiry date right ... ? btw you can try for Shell Bukom ... the other time i checked they were still looking for electrical technicians ...

 

GUYYYS . do you canvas your bike when parking at your workplace? i just changed my rear from drum brakes to disc brakes (for my spark135) and not even a month, the brackets has already turned rusty !!!

 

and my nuts , screws , mirrors, the metal parts have all rusted ! darn the dirty rain at jurong island !! grr !!!
