goin to be out of job soon

i've got a dip in mechanical

 

anyone here care to share a little bit more on tiz industry?

like howz the work and how to get in other than thru papers?

 

wad do u guys recommend?

Hi~ Yeah i think you just gotta hit the straits times or agency. Unless some guys here willing to intro, but difficult la, companies in this industries are strict with recruiting people, they need the right people with the right attitudes.. coz this line cannot play play, must be wise, SOPs must be followed... and they have vacancy opening/closing periods.. haha

 

Like me, i try to use my attachment chances to perform, and hope can be employed from there lor..

last month i saw hiap seng finding ppl... can try rotary also.. try going into those big contractors then got more chance when u noe more ppl from the plant...

You will see an advertisement in Straits Times this Saturday, September 30 and next Saturday, October 7 about a MNC recruiting Process Technicians.

 

Requirements:

• Diploma, ITC or NITEC 2 in Chemical Process Technology (Petrochemicals)/

Chemical Engineering; OR

• Diploma, ITC or NITEC 2 in Electronics/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

with relevant refinery process experience.

• Prepared to work eight-hour shifts.

• Able to distinguish colours and work at heights.

 

Training:

You will be provided with a comprehensive training programme, which includes

a basic course in Process Technology and Plant Specifics as well as on-the-job

training. You can expect career enhancement opportunities throughout your employment with us.

Those due for graduation or ORD before February 2007 may also apply.

pancladrider..haha.....u must be working in Power Seraya...nice to know another guy working there..anyway i think by early next year the jetties at Seraya will be no longer under Oiltanking..including tank 1,2 and 3....there's one rider also i met last week..working in PowerSeraya also...tt6638...riding Spec3 Bolder

ya... penta ocean is a jap construction firm... i will be at the bukom 'new site'.. my current company also got projects going on there.. the new complex expansion.. penta ocean not only got marine construction.. other construction also have.. like vivo city and the latest is the construction of condo and shopping centre above orchard mrt..
