The Carver One has been granted full European type approval and various initiatives to obtain certification outside Europe have been launched. In Europe, a car driver's licence is required to drive a Carver One. For tax purposes the Carver One is registered as a motorcycle in most countries.

yup, as I mentioned in the MP3 cafe...LTA has classified this as a car and all taxation and insurance will be car-type. Heard Mah Pte is thinking of doing local distribution. Price (should be machine price) is $40,000 above.

wah... paying COE, road tax, insurance, etc of a car for a bike? like bo-hwa leh. but a closer look at the specs, it can rival that of those found in Perodua Kancil... hahaha.

it seems that the backseat area is only big enuff for a child & if an adult were to "pillion"... his/her feet will be resting just abt where the "rider" elbows are...

i think it is right to classify it as a car as there are no handle bars... everything in it is structured like a car

steering wheel... foot clutch, brakes & accelerator

where is the bike part?

i read somewhere that the electronics & hydraulic system determines when the vehicle should lean.

maybe we should all be waiting for some improvised version if u r not an enthusiast?

it is not practical on sg roads... they r better suited on long flowing bends....

hmm....yah, but i had an opportunity to chat up with someone "inside the circle" and realised that the planned OMV for this carver one is very high...so high that it should be sold way above $40k....

 

maybe $40k is just a conservative figure....
