hmmmm.... last i check with chong aik its $320.00

dont know whether its worth rebuilding cause dont know till when will it start leaking again....

if can last for a year, good lah..

Rebuild I believe can last for a year. But to rebuild and to buy a new one I rather you buy a new one at a slightly higher price.

Huh???...who told u that or who rebuild for u..or just assumption? Mine has been rebuild and its 10 yrs olehdee..just have to top up my gas canister soon. Quite a few others had theirs rebuilded and still solid after 5 yrs or more.

He ask whether can last for a year or not mah... So I say I believe can lor. But not sure how long can rebuild last. Mine need to change spring and top up gas but stil no budget for it yet...

In my opinion, Showa is also gd. If not Honda would not equip CB400 with it. If aftermarket, I would say most brands are gd. Ohlins, Bitubo, HyperPro, YSS, Kayaba (if can be found) etc...

Regardless of brand..most suspension manufacturer has their range of performance model. Of course the more expensive ones are their top end..so all are good. Depending what u want to spend on a suspension on..it can be very expensive. for day to day uses..those that come stock wif ur bike is good enough for that bike it has been R&D and come wif.

I am using it. To me the hardness its about 50%~70% extra compare to your original ones . If you have heavy load behind (most of the time) then you might consider replacing them

Heh Fazli..my apoloy. I just realised that the item u referring to is a "YSS". I was referring to "SHOWA"...my bad. Yah then..better to buy a new one.

i have 1 BRAND NEW IN BOX pair of bitubo rear shock to let go! 2011 model, with preload, rebound and compression adjustments.

 

gunmetal colour for the body, black springs. this is a customised set for the springs colour.. letting it go at a real good deal.. much better than what you can get outside on the market. :D

Sure is as long as the damping rod and plunger head is not damage (some ride till the rubber damper kena whack until flat after oil leak to zero)..otherwise its useless to refurbished it. Most of the time, the spring need not to replace..a spacer of about 1/2 inch thick is good enought to revive the rebound rate and that's what Teck Thye do.

 

I can't speak about YSS but rebuilding for Bitubo, SHOWA and Ohlins are possible.

Its a common thing. Your fork oil seal is damaged. have it change..cost about $90-$95 to have a (set) pair replace..lower forrk service and refilled with new fork oil (450-500cc).
