works the same way as the wax. I now never use already because feel that rather use water and a rag. Hmm look closer on your chrome parts after using the turtle wax.. can see green dots!

oops no. i mean never use the chrome polish. I just use the wax to wax my paintwork and nothing else.

1 : what are the bottles that are needed for bike wash ? ( shampoo..wax..chain lube..and...?)

 

2 : for external of the bike , just wash the whole thing with bike shampoo?

 

3 : after wax just buff it like army boots?

 

4 : chain lube is lube the entire stretch of chain?

 

5 : basically that's all right?

just found out that sheng song at tekka mall sells car care products in smaller bottles and cheaper then mustafa! =D no more going to squeeze at mustafa~ hahaha

Guys, please note that the Autosol product most of you are using is Metal Polish and not chrome polish. This removes the chrome! I owned 2 Harleys and now riding a Triumph Speedmaster. I can tell you from experience that Metal polish does not work on chrome!

 

Someone gave me a half used tube of Harley's chrome polish and i found that it is the best so far for chrome. Does not scratch or remove the chrome and easy to wipe off excess. For rusted chrome, i usually use a ball of very very fine steel wool, which can be bought from those mamak provision stores in little india. then i finish off with chrome polish.

Need a tip gentlemen - I'm using a windshield from the scrapyard. Aerodynamically it's perfect but it's covered completely with white deposits that can't be removed with water or car shampoo.

 

What should we use to clean Lexan windshield with?

Yep, I frowned at the suggestion of 'oven cleaner' for my chromed engine covers. Big bad idea. Turtle wax chrome polish works great and costs peanuts. ($4+ only)

To clean rim, the cheapest method I know of:

 

Buy $0.10-0.20 cents of dissel (can use very long liaoz), mix with water, then use a sponge to clean the rim wif the mixture. Once done, use shampoo or soap water to rinse off the dissel mixture.

 

 

I totally agree with it... haha.. but be careful not to contact with bike body..

U can buy rust remover from hardware shop. it is in a bottle, liquid form. apply onto the rust part, let it eat into the rust. wash it off. sand it, paint it and u are done.

i googled online and found that autosol metal polish was highly recommended, but then some of our forum-users think otherwise. I just bought a tube to try out. Hopefully nothing goes wrong. :x
