ok this is the story...

 

i was travelling along toh guan road towards PIE (the road behind IMM where the cargo entrance to IMM is) then was travelling quite slow... ard 40-50km/h.

 

there was a yellow box in front of the cargo entrance so that goods vehicles can turn in n out more smoothly... i was travelling on the second lane n there r 3 lanes on this road.

 

there were cars waiting behind the yellow box coz infront still got car waiting to turn right at the traffic junction...

 

when i was abt 1 to 1.5 car length away from the yellow box, this pickup suddenly turned right from the opposite direction traffic into IMM cargo bay...

 

i applied e-brake but the distance was too near even when i was travelling slow... in the end hit the side of the pickup near to the end of the vehicle...

 

my bike did not fall, neither did i... coz i wasn't travelling too fast... if not i will become superman n fly over the pickup liao...

 

my bike sai tao crack, headlights chui, speedo crack, i think front fork gone... rims n brake dics n brake calipers oso gone...

juz to add, i was in the right of way coz i was travelling straight on a major road... the pickup most prob did not check properly before turning...

 

coz after the collision, he jumped out of the pick up saying, 'sorry sorry! i din see u!' but after that he called someone n that someone probably told him not to admit to anything n try to push the blame to me by saying i travelling too fast.....

 

who is right n who is wrong can be seen clearly from here... firstly i got right of way, secondly i couldn't be travelling fast, thirdly he shud have check before turning...

 

moral of the story is, 'do not take things for granted coz u nv noe which house's cow will dash across the road...'

neither ur bike nor urself dropped. but ur bike seemed like it suffered alot, judging frm the extent of the damages. so ur body muz have absorbed the impact? ouch man.

hp u din suffer ani major injuries. take care dude.

 

aniway, i live ard tt area oso... tt stretch of rd gt alot of lorries/pickup rushing for deliveries... near industrial area oso..

 

 

no $ lah. must sell my bike 1st then got $$.

the frist few quite fragile mah... sometimes drop bike oso will crack de... the last few i mean can get ready to change new one liao... not really spoil until very jialat... but dun think will be effective as before liao lor... =)

understand that u have right of way..but were you on a lane itself or u squeezing between vehicles? if u were taking up single lane and not squeezing..then confirm his fault liao. But if u squeezing...then i dont how liao...tp might penalize you for squeezing b/w vehicles.

haiz... not gd at all... Dunno whether can get into university anot leh..

 

but tis yr alot of ppl oso get bad results except for those damn smart de lar..

trust me, u have to put NTU eng as first choice.. in the first yr, the subjects u take are almost the same as what u have learnt from Olevels and Alevels, provided u dun slack (becoz u tink u learnt b4 which is the mentality most ppl have instead) but instead polish up on those subjects and its easier to score As in first yr. after tat, choose a course that has prospects.

 

treat first yr as a stepping stone. if u need help can always approach me.
