How does one measures the worth-ness of Korean made and Japan made cars...?

Im looking at 2nd car... prolly a weekend, cos have no more butt to sit on already but love the idea of having choices of transport everyday..

 

However, i do admit, being a lady, i know almost nuts about cars.. all i know is continental cars, goes on by japanese cars, goes on by korea cars, malaysia cars, china cars...

 

Lets just take Japan and korea cars for now, Im very interested to know about their cause and factors that affects their depreciations, why when one consider getting a korea car, people will ask him/her to get a japan made car instead?

 

Talking about layman term i went to test drive few japan made cars... Mazda 2 and Swift 1.5 for e.g, these two already won me over, getz 1.4 and 1.6 couldnt even be compared with these two models. The interior workmanship is definitely one leap better than any kia or getz...

 

Why am i always hearing "dont buy korea cars, you would left almost nothing when you sell it off...no resale value" or is it because some owners like to do with $0 downpayment with korea cars, and thats why it creates this "metaphor"? if a car owner downpay 20-30k on a getz, will he/she be having the problem of "Worthless-ness" getz?

 

And also lets say if getz resale value is low, is it a better choice to get a 2nd hand 1 to 2 yrs getz since the first buyer had already absorbed the loss most, (well definitely have to take its engine into consideration).

 

Not sure u guys understand what im trying to ask..... haha

 

I need some numerics to clear my confusion guys...lets just start with a Getz 1.4A to help me understand guys..... thanks!!!!

if you are getting a weekend car, go for a brand new one.

much more worth it.

 

korean cars generally have lower resale/export value as compared to japanese rides.

 

High amount + long period loan results in a longer breakeven period.

 

Go for the Mazda 2 if it's in your budget. quite a good ride.

 

sorry i can't give you any comments about korean cars, never own one before.

but if you want comments on jap/continental cars, i can help.

so simple, go agent and ask agent salesman lo..

 

ask honda sales man then go ask hyundai sales man.

 

honda sales man will talk good about honda car n gif bad comments on hyundai car.

 

hyundai sales man will talk good about hyundai car n gif bad comments on honda car.

 

then compare urself lo

 

do the survery urself, dun wait for stupid ppl gif stupid comments juz like mi myself, talkl rubbish. LOL

XG aircon is climate control, XE is normal dial type. Correct me if i am wrong.

That true but the agent will include a low end set for every car sold. Never come across any new car without a radio.
