Hi there, does any one know any where i can polish up my headers other else then seng kwang? Saw some where some one mentioned about ah loo at tampines, can i have the address please? Seng Kwang does good work but the prices he is charging now is over priced i think, maybe explains the lack of customers when i went down just now. Any advise would be good, hack dont even have to be a bike shop as long as they get the job done. Thank you in advance!

i dun think he has lack of customers.. all airport Aux bikes(new varadero 125) are all done up buy them.. All TP, LTA, ROV crashbars and box mounts are done by them.. All Cisco super4 are done by them..

pay higher premium for quality products..

for me, he kept insisting on his life time guarantee if i customise my products with him..

i kept going back(can say putting my head on chopping board everytime) when i need any metal work.. thou expensive, but i know i'll be walking outta there a happy man.. been goingto him since my 2B times..

any re-welding, un-welding can be done there (if your stuff is customised there) at a unbelieveable low price..

i'm not working for him nor promoting his shop.. but i believe he's one of the best welders in SG and was very well known in this trade..

some bike shops dun even bother to entertain your ideas nor metal work..

he had pics to prove his stuffs works too..

hahahaha its nice to know that but i didnt say his work wasn't good or anything of that sort. What i experienced from him was a price given for a certain job a few months back and suddenly when i went back again the price tripled! This has surely cause he is the only one doing it in singapore, and monopoly in a market is never good for the consumer, am just saying. So lets not flame each other here. Thanks for the reply though, i cant agree more, he does good work!

SK is not the only shop that does metalworks, they are known to have one of the best QC in the motor industry tho. Why else would so many gahment agencies engage them to fix up their bikes?

i'm not flaming you or anything.. just justifying their work..

yes, Palmer is right.. they are not the only one.. but is one of the best.. yet heard of any better..

price tripled?? is it the same item then?? i only know price increased abt $10-30 for certain items as of the increase in petrol, gold, etc..

I dont know if they are the best or not, but yeah its not the price of metals or petrol, just some polishing work tripled in price. No matter, was just asking whether there was an alternative thats all...:)

government agencies engage them cos they provide 'attractive' package 4 them.

Seems that when one thinks they know alot another one comes in and know even more...hahahaha i am actually amazed with what ppl know here. Cheers!

Actually for good custom work, must be prepared to pay ..

i got other other metal smith do some work, much cheaper but no standard .. worst they don't know how to take care of your bike .. confirm will scratch when they mark or try to mount watever your're cutomising one ..

On their pricing, I agree it depend on which brother you talk to and if they like your face ... and most definately what bike you ride ..

I recall hearing them say years ago ...

IU bracket, normal bike S$80/- super bike S$120/-, harley S$150/-

yeah, I agree with biting_point..if you are into custom fittings, their quality and service is unbeatable.

I wouldn't go anywhere else if I'm looking for good metal fabrication. Everybody knows them for a reason.

i went to sk recently to fix my exhaust. I will say his workmanship is really good. Although it is expensive but i still feel happy after walking out of his shop cos he did a really good job.

Custom made product is definitely much more expensive.

Maybe other place do welding might be cheaper but their workmanship is as good as SK?

This is up to individual to decide. I think at the end of the day, you want the damage to your bike be fully repair without much flaw rite?

The more I ride my SV, the less I care about going to the annual bike show and looking at new,

or expensive, or exotic machinery. I'm continuing to mod my bike into exactly what I want it,

and enjoying every mile I put on it.
