voltmeter lights up but the arrow doesn't move at all

Looks like the induction coil or the mini circuitry board is gone...no point repairing as it cost just as much to get a new one. You might end up paying more after replacing the cct board to find that it still not working. I have yet to know anyone selling induction coil anyway..moreover, varies with brands.

This damage is likely caused by exposure to heat from the sun. The heat inside the meter housing would be very torturing to the circuitry baord (becomes britter) and small components. Also overnight exposure and due to cooling, condensation takes place internally. Day to day and after a period of time..sooner or later something gonna give. Advise is to have this meter "sheltered" from external element like in a car...or unless you can get your hand on a "mil-Spec" one that is more reliable and build for open exposure.

Digital unit would be more prone to damage than analog ones. May be, this is the reason why bike manufactural don't do it for bikes unless it's build in and under cowlings.

i already have those analog type so i just cut the wire and connect the digital volt meter :cheeky:

you can use silicon tape or duck tape or pvc tape to tape around the casing to prevent water slipping through...

then use 3M velco and stick the meter onto the bracket of the analog meter

turbocharge: thanks! everyone can own one only $29.90.....
