Char kway teow. 1) Stall outside Sin Hwa Coffee shop opposite Pulau Tikus Police Station in Jalan Burma. 2) Kimberly street outside Bee Hooi Cafe? Soft guo-tiao, no cuttlefish, very light in colour with the addition of slipper-lobster?

 

Char Kway kak. Pulau Tikus Market Daytime food Centre (Jalan Pasar) outside Marble Arch mall, right next to Pulau Tikus Market.

 

Lor bak, assam laksa and durian ice cream. Kek Seng Coffeeshop at 382 Jln Penang.

 

Chendol. Teochew Chendol in Lebuh Keng Kwee, outside Joo Hooi Cafe. 475 Jalan Penang.

 

Nasi kandar and teh tarik. Restoran A Dawood 61 Queen street.

 

Hokkien mee. Shop at the corner of Burma Road and Cantonment Road. Excellent soup sweetened with pork bones, has an addition of ter-hwang (pig's intestines). Shop may not be around anymore...

 

Inche kabin and curry kapitan, Jer her eng chye. Golden Phoenix Cafe at Gurney Drive.

 

Popiah, Pasembur. Jalan Johor-Dato Keramat food junction.

 

Ice Kachang with ice cream. New World Park food court Swatow Lane.

 

Freshly baked Chee cheong fun. Perimeter of Wisma Central at the junction of New Lane and Jalan Macalister.

 

Rojak, roasted cuttle fish and any other food found in Penang. Gurney Drive Hawkers night market. Very windy. Have your food right at the edge of the sea. This is the die die must go place.
