Enquiry on CNG Cars

El Nino 9

Recommended Posts

So far besides hybrid, of which CNG system is in-built as default,

1) What other cars have CNG system already built-in into their system? (Understood that in normal car to CNG conversion, a large gas tank has to be installed in the car?)

2) What are the incentives of buying a CNG car? ie. tax rebate etc.

Thanks for help. :cheeky:

2000 - NSR 150 SP (FR 9409)

2001 - VTEC I (FR 9922)

2003 - R1 '03 (FW 5762)

2004 - VTEC II (FV *8)

Nice nos. for VTECs... Fated to ride VTEC :cheeky:

my friend's mx5 lost alot of power after installing CNG.

with a CNG sequential mixer, technically there is almost no power lost. Any decrease in performance has to be attributed to the weight gained with the additional of the CNG tank.

What capacity tank was installed ? The MX-5 boot is already ridiculously small.

my dad told me he's looking for those gas to be installed in his van, is it possible?:confused:

Technically, if it's petrol driven, then it's a straight forward conversion.

Complication will arise on specific car engine as the installation kit is not standard.
