Rafa to add Roque to his Pool

Lleida youngster Miquel Roque has claimed he is the latest Spaniard to sign for European champions Liverpool.

Anfield boss Rafael Benitez has already used his Spanish connections to sign Xabi Alonso, Luis Garcia and Fernando Morientes and Roque, a 16-year-old central defender, appears to be the next on the list.

'When my agent told me, I didn't believe it,' Roque told Spanish newspaper Marca.

'It's more normal for them to say a scout from Barcelona or Real Madrid has been watching you and the chance that can happen does enter into your mind.

'However, when they say someone from Liverpool has come to watch you, then it is hard to believe.'

Roque would almost certainly start out in Liverpool's reserves but the teenager said: 'It is my big chance, anyone who loves football dreams something like this could happen and I am not going to let the chance pass me by.

'My parents believe in me and want the best, of course they are worried I am leaving, but there again so am I.

'It won't be the same living in Liverpool as living in Lleida, but I am used to being away from home.'

who is Roque?

think its the 89/90 season..

anyway i was only 9 years old!

saw some of their pics on the newspapers(english soccer didnt have live telecast then!) and i was attracted to their jersey at that time..candy was sponsoring...

after some time..came to know that they are liverpool and since then..i have supported them..

began to watch them play in the early 90s..where matches were still rare on TV..but its ok...

no lah..since i "supported" them already..its hard to change..thats a TRUE liverpool supporter.

I didnt know how successful they were until they started more telecasts & more coverage in newspapers..hahaa...

but how successful they were is not fundamental to me supporting them..i like their style of play also..short passing game to fustrate their opponents..

Chelsea bid £65m for Adriano - Report

Inter Milan's Adriano today claimed Chelsea have tabled a record-breaking £65 million offer to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

London's Evening Standard cites reports from Rio de Janeiro which claim talks are already underway between the Brazilian striker and the Premiership Champions.

Adriano is quoted as saying: 'I am happy at Inter and I still have a lot of years left on my contract, but Chelsea have come in with an exceptionally strong proposal.'

Chelsea's unwanted Argentine pair Hernan Crespo and Juan Sebastian Veron, already on loan at Inter, could be used as makeweights as part of a deal, though the Italian club are expected to try and retain the services of Adriano, who bagged 16 Serie goals this season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho today confirmed that Chelsea are in talks with Athletic Bilbao left-back Asier Del Horno.

Mourinho also revealed that three players will definitely be leaving the club - paving the way for the almost certain departures of Scott Parker, Mateja Kezman and Mikael Forssell.

Both Parker and Forssell have been interesting Everton while Kezman is expected to return to Holland with PSV.

Mourinho, quoted in Portuguese newspaper A Bola, said: 'Three will leave, three will come in, we will look to sign a left-back, a midfielder and an attacker. Our left-back already left in December for Newcastle, that is (Celestine) Babayaro.

'We are in conversations with Del Horno from Bilbao and later we have to sign a midfielder and an attacker. But there will be no Portuguese players coming in.'

The Barclays Premiership champions have already been linked with a move for Internazionale's star striker Adriano and Lyon midfielder Michael Essien while Milan's left-back Kakha Kaladze has declared that he could make the move to Stamford Bridge.

However Mourinho has now confirmed that the London side are pursuing a deal for 24-year-old Del Horno to compete with Wayne Bridge next season.

Mourinho also expressed his reaction to the Premier League punishment following the inquiry into the Ashley Cole tapping-up affair.

Chelsea were fined £300,000 and given a suspended three-point penalty whilst Mourinho was fined a personal £200,000 as they, and Cole himself, were found guilty of illegal approaches.

The Blues boss expressed the club's discontent with the record fines, and explained Chelsea's legal department would be pursuing the matter further as they prepare to appeal against the unprecedented judgements.

Mourinho said: 'Since the beginning it seemed to be a serious process, we participated in it calmly, but we are not content. Therefore the legal department of Chelsea will continue to analyse the situation.'

Raul to join Rafa's Reds revolution?

Spanish striker Raul has intimated he may be ready to leave Real Madrid and Liverpool is reported to be his likely destination.

Raul's place in the Real team has come under threat from former Liverpool striker Michael Owen.

The 27-year-old believes he has yet to peak, but has called on the Bernabeu club he joined in 1995 to tell him if he still has a future there.

'After 11 years here I want what is best for the club,' Raul said.

'If at some time I have to sacrifice myself in order for the team to progress then I will do.

'If the club calls you up and says you have to go then as a player you have to be prepared to look for a way out that benefits everyone.

'If I listen to the polls in some papers, it looks as though I should leave now.

'I still feel useful to the club and believe I have not reached my peak, but I don't want to be in the way. All I want is for the club to be clear with me.'

Owen joined Real from Liverpool last summer, while Raul's former strike partner Fernando Morientes made the switch to Anfield in a £6.3million deal in January.

Raul has rejected reports that he could leave Real Madrid for Liverpool this summer.

Reports over the weekend suggested that Raul could become the latest Spanish star to make his way to Anfield to join Rafa Benitez's European champions.

It was suggested that Benitez wanted to team Raul up again with former Real team-mate Fernando Morientes in a new look attack for next season.

Raul endured a disappointing season with Real last term by his own high standards and rumours of a moves for new strikers such as Robinho and Adriano have raised doubts over Raul's long-term future at El Santiago Bernabeu.

The Spanish international has previously claimed he would quit Real if the club made it clear he was surplus to requirements.

However, Raul has moved to quash the speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool suggesting it would be complicated for him to move on.

“I’m not thinking about playing in England," said Raul.

"My future is in the Spanish league. It would be very complicated for me to go there.”

Sometimes you support Arsenal also don't know what to say  Always buy those no-name and 50-50 players... hahaha.... now the latest gunners seems to be Helb and Jack Hobbs. Si Mi Lai Eh?????hahaha..... Don't know whether to be happy or not... kekeke.

But no-name Van Persie is really cheap at 2.5 mil pounds and getting to be a real match winner..... saw him in the Dutch match and looks like can fight Robben. Score 1 and assist 2 against Finland. But Robben 12 mil wor, 6 times more ex......

At least LFC linked to bigger names like Crouch (although I think it is a stupid buy)..... kekeke. Maybe to make people shut up abt him buying Spanish players only. Yah hor... he only bought Spanish (all 5) till now........
