There isn't any really free maps and navigation in the market so far.. Hav to pay for a small fee. :)

 

That sucks... Saw your previous post you using Mapking and Garmin together, thought Garmin is a map also? Or is it Garmin is the application? Abit blur on all these GPS gadgets. :giddy:

I see, that clears my doubts. Will try out the 3 months trial by Nokia first. After that most prob will get the Mapking one. BTW the Mapking one is just one time payment right? You can just download all the updates for free? o_O

Thanx for all the info dude. Will go and subscribe for the Nokia 3 months trial first. N95 rocks! Not to mention the 5MP camera that can take high quality pics. :cool:

when using those garmin maps, there is a charge for the map, bout wad bout gprs charges?

 

GPS logging is free , but GPRS is for data charges , which is chargeable , depending on ur subscription plans wif the telco providers . Normally , i disable to data connection settings while using th GPS on my N95 .

Just tried out the navigation on the N95, pretty accurate, still show your current speed and estimated distance and time left. Only problem is that the route sometimes may not be the shortest, and you cannot choose which highway you want for e.g. ECP or PIE. But overall still quite good if you really do not know the way.

 

Anyone know whether the Mapking is one time payment and you can use the navigation for life? Or is it have to renew the licence every year like those Anti Virus softwares?

maybe u can try hardwarezone..

cos some bikers may feel N95 a bit bulky.. diff to place in pocket..

not biker-friendly..

i find its ok.. cos first day i bought i use the leather case.. hahaa..

 

after remove e leather case for awhile, e phone like so slim n nice to put inside pocket.. ^^

like bro. speedpass say he disable the gprs so there will be no charges on GPS, so how can i disable the gprs?

Is a handphone booth located at the top few floors.. Kinda forget le. Is booth not those shops type. Is payment for a year onli.. In order to disable the gprs, u must disable the network usage. U go to main menu, tools, connect, gps data, positioning setting and off the usage of network gps, assisted gps, bluetooth gps. U juz allow usage of integrated gps to work.. :)
