my pc bout to going down!!!

hi bro.. grt stuff thr.. now i'm facing a prob, my pc bout to going down!!! wat shuld i do?? i dunno whr to start..

yesterday log on my pc as normal n suddenly a lot of small windows appear n too many of thm. n came a blue screen. after tht i log off n on again take a few minutes to back to normal. dun u noe y??? n also bout the internet. did mozilla firefox gives prob???

 

If your "small windows" look like Internet Explorer adverts, then it's spyware.

So you're saying when you restarted, it did not come back?

 

Also, is this problem intermittent (on-off-on kind of problem)?

yes on & off kind. issit normal if internet xplorer adverts appear? quite annoying though. if this things happened what shuld i do? thnks

i juz find out my windows hv been corrupted. any ideas??? n also evertime wen i'm log in my pc, came a small window stated "Reboot- No Disk". dun u know y???

Are you using Windows XP? If so, try to do a re-installation of only the Windows essential files.

 

To do so, insert your XP CD (full version), and boot from it.

Press ENTER at the "Welcome to Setup" (not press "R" !!!),

and ENTER on your Hard Disk partition to where Windows is installed.

 

When you do the steps above, it will look into your partition, then discover that Windows is already installed, and offers you to repair and replace only the Windows essential files.

Once that's done, and you can login to Windows after the abovementioned fix, do an Anti-virus scan followed by an Anti-spyware scan.

Hope threadstarter didn't screw up the reinstall process, preventing himself from coming into SBF

 

I think i need to include a disclaimer everytime i suggest a reinstall to peeps here liao...

Hi bro.... my pc is back to normal but i dunno for how long. i followed every details u gave it to me to tackle the problems. thnks man takes bout 4 days to settle some of it. got prb wif the internet lately but now its ok btw bro ur teaching has been great of help so if anything happen to my pc i will look upon at the Top 10 Reason Y PC Crash thread. thnks man
