Petrol cock

A few weeks ago, my bike fuel line was leaking. So I turned the petrol cock to off. However, the petrol still leaks and I had to spread newspaper underneath overnight.

 

Question is how do I check that the petrol cock is working properly?

Just curious what bike are you using?...some fuel cocks use vacuum line and others dont....

the above can be two causes....either ur fuel line at the fuel cock is enlarged thus not petrol tight thus u either cut off the fuel line until new part or change if its not long enuff get a new long fuel line....

 

if the above fuel line is ok...den its either u get a new fuel cock.....then drain the petrol from the tank...put the tank sideways n take out the two bolts holding the fuel cock to ur tank den exchange w the new onewith the new rubber gasker.......do not overtighten...

Remove tank and test with pails.

Check if its the hose or maybe a the petcock came loose.

Sometimes its an overflow.

 

How sure are you its from the petcock?
