So amba...what are the advantages of conering with the butt at the against the tail board.....

Also is there a better conering position which wont make your hands so tired....

As of now i also corner with groin on tank and i hook my arms around on the tank while knee down cornering...

Any good suggestions...or advice from your professional training....

BTW amba...u go track oftern...... cos i looking for kaki to go on weekdays....cheaper (and i got alot of leave).....

theres no such thing as a fixed cornering position... its all bout weight transfer... and every rider is diff... so weight on the bike is also diff..some more suspension also diff...

bottom line is... know the bike and yourself.... know the bike's handling ability and if you feel good going in like "that", then so be it....

i spend more time dreaming about track. the course was worth it. with 20 sessions, i am still a begineer. slow and scared fall. check with 5thrider

Hey, how's your bike? Last time I saw it, it was still squirting coolant all over the place!

That day was my 3rd track session actually. Getting more and more confident, but still have big problems with turn3, had another big slide... :giddy:

Well, thats a good reason to do a top overhaul and ups the compression! :thumb:

But with higher compression means more power and more heat... Better take care of the heat problem!

plus different bikes = diff ergonomics. like im riding a cagiva planet, and i feel i cant really sup the corner too much. why? erm. i feel that the weight and body shape doesnt allow me to? or is this juz my phobia.

would u agree that every bike has its own limits, so sometimes its not the rider but also the bike? e.g. rxk cant go as low a say a zx4 or pgm or rvf or watever (point quite clear).

hmmm mayb its time to get a 2a track bike.

anyways UPS for all going!

Guess may be that the cg(centre of gravity) is high, that's why can't corner too low. Planet is a street bike. Think higher cg than Super 4.

Actually, the higher the CG, the less the bike would need to lean in order to corner at a given speed.

Posted

I think that if the cg is high, like in scramblers, you definately cannot knee slide, because the bike is top heavy.

If i'm not wrong, you need to lean more to balance the bike, of course the speed must be sufficient.

I think kneesliding is the wrong way to ride a Supermotard.

wat the. how come the dude can wheelie and corner.

so basically its obviously true to an extent that.. a sportbike can corner lower than a road bike la? yea i tot abt the cg thing. and also planet the front half of the bike seems heavier.. thats just my assumption basing on its look.

hmmm...keith code says its the exact opposite. Lower cg = less lean because the bike don't have to compensate for centrifugal force as much. That's why racers hang their bodies of the side of their bikes.

u can't leg out when come to 150km/h corner , we motard still need to used knee slider when come to tat speed..
