Thanks Bro alex.Btw went to the Bajaj service centre and the mechanic says my exhaust is causing the sound and needs to weld it.cost me $15.since he took out the exhaust, pay them to clean the rust and spray it costing me another $10 and not to include the GST incur together.Luckily small problem and not the engine.

This is my friend Pulsar. He is using Aprilia's Front & Back Wheels. Also Aprillia's back swing-arm and front fork. :D....he is using bridgestone battlax 140-70-17 for back tire and 110-70-17 for front tire...:thumb:

The silencer using Yoshimura with two end-hole...I think thats the Yoshimura Oval...:D

Geez, with so many mods with high-end parts, y get the Pulsar in d 1st place? :giddy: Can such a modified Pulsar pass inspection in Sg?

Might as well get a 2A bike. I mean, even with such mods, how much (performance-wise) can u squeeze out of a 2B naked bike like the Pulsar?

Sprayed with high-temp paint? Whole system or just the rusty parts here & there?

Ya man..that sound no longer there and somehow the exhaust sounds slightly different than original..or maybe its my ears..haha...no dat sure but dats wat the mechanic says...he sent welding at other shop so dun know which part was weld.Got another guy also having the same problem like mine...the sound of a screw inside the exhaust..but he's problem more rabak...the exhaust parts inside are broken into pieces and after knocking still got some stuck inside...so guys take note once you hear funny noise when u trottle then better go n check out..

Alex,i also ask for the quotation if want to change the gasket for the leak..universal is charging $45 for all, workmanship and the gasket.

Bro Roady, yup i ask them to use high temp spray and its the whole exhaust pipe since they have to take it out to weld it at other shop.No bad lah since the mechanic still go n sandpaper all the rusty parts first before he spray it.

Still got no news about the tank-bra??...was hoping since pulsar is getting popular..maybe some shops are ready to do it...my tank is getting more straches nowadays...anybody did a repaint or airbrush on their pulsar??

Thinking of changing my pulsar colour.

For UG3, where else can u put the IU apart from the handlebar?

Those who bought the Ver 2 from Universal have the IU located under the windshield between the speedometer & tachometer.

im thinking n will be thinking heehee

Since you are riding a silver pulsar (assuming based on the picture in your signature) this post might not help you much but for the rest of you there is this colored wax from Turtle Wax. I have the red version at home and I must say that it works very very well in concealing scratches. It doesn't give as great a shine as regular wax but it does the job. I usually use the colored wax and afterwards use regular wax. Hard work but it does wonders. If I have the time I'll try and take pictures of the container.

Until then, cheers.

All that for $10 only?! Too good to be true leh. Even David the Universal salesman himself advised me to do it in JB instead cos cheaper.

How long did the whole job take to complete?

ic, sounds reasonable. maybe i will go change for my next service. but will they add in gst? paying gst for workmanship doesnt sound right.

Only works for hairline scratches tho. Doesn't work for deep scratches like those on my front mudguard after I had a stationary fall on my bike just 2 wks after buying it

Ooopppsss! There goes the resale value of my Pulsar liao :cheeky:

Yes, they charge GST for everything that's payable, be it for parts or labour. They issue receipt for every transaction, regardless of the amt. And since they're GST-registered, so gotta indicate the GST on the receipt.

That's possible lah, provided u buy over their whole company. Or u set up a new company and bid to be the new Bajaj agent for Sg when Universal's current contract with Bajaj expires. Then not only u do not need to give us receipts, u do not need to bill us anything at all .....

Ya.anyway its just an exhaust pipe only not the whole bike. But still need to monitor the paint can last how long...wah i was there for around 3 hours..the spray job take around 1-1.5hrs cos they let the paint dry up for a while.

Alex, they will charge GST to everything so whatever price is being said then dun forget to add the GST ...

The hazard light looks nice at night...was thinking about doing the same like yours..signal light always on...can imagine at night looks nice..making it similar to S4.

Dear All,

After 12 years on my RXZ, it began to show its old age and thanks to the bros here, bought a Pulsar 180. All I can say is, it is a big mistake! Nothing is for free. Super low fuel consumption, 1 litre oil change. Exciting new models. Cheaper spares from India. It comes with rush R&D and unsettled manufacturing resulting poorly engaging and slipping gears, weak steel, with vibration akin to shuttle reentry back to earth. Couple this with mechanics from no less than distributor level who are absolutely clueless how to fix this bike. My old mechanic is laughing at me for taking silly leap of faith on lesser known makes. My friends suggested to take huge hit and get rid it fast. Goodbye Pulsar fanboys. I am going to Cubs forums looking for my next bike.

12 years experience cant give u enough experience to Judge?

i Had ride kips, RXZ, RXK, TZR, CBR400, CBR900, now GSR600 n Pulsar. I don give any complaints to this Bike... there is pro n cons man.. not everything is perfect. How can u use RXZ n pulsar to compare? :sian:

All you need to know about GSR 400/600, be it buying, maintaining or modding, please refer to GSR 600 Thread FAQ page 281 and 282

The F.C must be terribly affected too.

But it looks good though

There is no rule in Indonesia for modification. As long as your bike is safe for riding and have all the necessary street bike requirements then go ahead...:cheeky:

From performance view, the bike is still comfort to ride and handle...the machine power rise to about 10% from its original power when tested in dyno machine...:D...
