All 180cc DTSi had the same overshift gear (soft) problem, cannot be eliminated due to design.

May consider for the 200cc DTSi which had improved overshift gear protection.

Available next Feb 2008.

Cheers !

dun count the chicks so fast b4 they hatch...

Pulsar 180 DTS-I already 3rd version yet still got so many pple complaining...

200cc 1st version only wor... wat worst ah hahahahaha...

Yes, you are right.

That's why UM rather wait to bring in the bikes next Feb 2008, so that the bike are tested in India and resolved most of the issues.

Did u use Maxima Extra Fully Syn? I used to have the same problem (gears hard to kick, rough engine, finding neutral is harder than getting full marks for an assignment...)

But since i started use Maxima Extra Fully Syn, all my problems disappear. engine sounds smooth and gears feel like they've KY Jelly on them o_O o_O

My friend and i bought the pulsar together last year, after 13k+ mileage, both of us bike have the EO leaking problem, the leaking position at the right side engine spark plug there. leaked from the plastic cover on the right side engine. both of us bikes also have the gear hard to kick , hard to find neutral problems. these should be the common problems in pulsar.

BTW, fix the EO leaking at Universal Motor is cost $45+ . (just repaired this saturday)

Regarding the Gasket Seal leaking (EO leaking) is common... before i got my bike, I went to UM and asked. Christ told me that the most common problem they faced is the Gasket leaking. After replacing that it will be ok/

Bro.. Tat will hve to depend on indivdual. I try a couple of EO... till one of bro here say tat Mobile EO 20/50w is good for our bike ( In his view). After trying, engine lsss virbrate. But UM told me tat is best if change EO @2000km. afterall the EO they selling is 10buck.

Here some calculation:

Mobile 20/50w = 10buck per 2000km

Maxima Extra = 24buck per 3000km

IMHO, no harm changing EO at 2000km. 20 buck for 4000km and the EO is not use to the MAX (3000km)

And also back in INDIA, i tink they use the mst cheapo EO.

BTW, our pulsar need thick EO (20/50w).

for $45, wat are the things they do?

do they change the whole gasket on your engine?

or jus change the gasket at the leaking part(near spark plug area)

care to explain and elabourate. thanks

change EO for the moment n try whether the prob persists.

remember oso during SSDC or BBDC or CDC when u r in gear n 1 2 kick to neutral, the instructors always advice to "play" wif the clutch to achieve neutral status... u can try tat too.

if not if ur mileage is still below 10k, go uni tell them the prob...

it may sound like ur clutch plates need tightening.
