Recently see so many pulsar riders.. Even my neighbour buy pulsar becuz of me.

 

BUt i hate the gear prob

iam not experiencing any gear problem for abt more than a week now... iam not sure what i did.

 

i cud be a combination of proper gear changing, oil by brader paiseh, and a wee bit of hard riding...

 

and plugs checks our manual when we sud change plugs brader jeff, and DO NOT CHANGE PLUGS OF DIFF TYPE. u must change the same type (but of cos u may change brands).

Yep.. he bought a red 1. Den he saw me he abit paiseh.. He tot i will say him copy cat.

 

Regarding our spark plugs change wen our bike milage how much? 5k?

my definition of hard riding is... fast accl and change gear.

 

i dont usually watch the rev meter.... i just use my ears... when i wan to change to a higher gear i accl to a point whr i hear the engine is pulling a bit then i cahnge... i tink its ard 6000 rpm den i change

 

change of plugs.. if i read correctly from the manual is 10,000 km.... but u may not follow and wait till 10,000km... if yr hand itchy like me u can get new irridium or platinum tip plugs by denso or wad ever good brand u can change... just remember u must change of the same type... or it will reduce or 'break apart' yr engine internally...

be creative... some part u can mod by using oder bike after market parts. but of cos u will have to mod here and there to fix onto our bajaj

 

all u need is idea time and creativity.. and also trials and error...

the LEDs im selling can be used for our bikes.

i have blue and white, amber

 

our pole light uses T10 connectors. we have 2 i also sell T10 bulbs but LED is more appropriate as it consumes less power, only 5watt yet brighter.

 

abt legal issues for the pole lights, i went thru rd block once and 6-7times TP riding past me with my blue LED on. hmm.. nothing happened

 

 

i realised our bulb is a HS rated bulb but in a H4 platform. (3 pin)

 

usually H4 bulbs are all 60/55watt rated. ours is 35/35watt rated.

Whoa...Its been quite some time since i last log in here and def. lotsa nice things been shared.Really nice of u guys to share all the problems/mod etc.

My warranty is about to be out so maybe thinking of changing/mod some of the parts.

Can u guys share with me the price and place if you have info of the following:

1) Rear disc brake

2) Tubeless tyre for both Front & Back(brand)

3) Rims(waadee,did u spray ur rims or bought a new one)

4) Belly Pan (looks nice but just read some problems from waadee)

5) Have anybody respray their bike or tried to change it into 2 colours?

 

Any info will be appreciated.Anyway maybe hope to get to see some of u guys bike that

have already mod to have better view rather than just pictures.

brader outspoken, u r the 1st few thread starter for bajaj pulsar, wow how long since u last posted?

 

now there are a few of us active pulsar forummer, like me, jeffaw and there is brader paiseh, rafalation and brader goofrider. there are a few more.

 

abt mods that u asked

rear dics brakes: i asked ard i tink it would cos us abt $400++ (correct me if iam wrong with the figure) can be done either here or malaysia. just a question of good workmanship. i dont mind paying a bit more if iam guaranted that the workmanship is top notch.

 

tyres: iam using bridgestone battlax bt-39 size 80/90 for front and 110/90 for rear. this are sport tyres meant for cornering but i dont do much cornering and the tyres do provide good handling better than the stock tyres.

 

rims: my rims are still original. just that i tape reflective yellow tape to make it more nicer looking

 

belly pan: thats an rxz belly pan, modded to fix onto our bajaj. the pan had to be trim to fit and it was nice at 1st to me but it became and eyesore so i removed it.

 

respraying: i tot of this but iam not sure wad design to spray onto my bike. iam playing with 2 colours blue and yellow.

 

i also change the original grip to keiti brand grip. also i did mod the carburetor abit, i dont advice you to do this becos its going to increase the fuel consumption.

 

things i look forward to are better performance carburetor, K&n filter and full exhaust system. this will give bajaj pulsar a notch up on performance.

jeffaw: dun worry, its too small a thing for them to catch u. trust me. just the pole lights. $9 a pair. its wide angle type of LED.

 

btw, if ur afraid of legal issues, white LED will be good. but of course blue is nicer in my opinion

My Mods for my bike.

 

So far...

 

1. I haf changed my headlight socket to a fibre quality one. able to withstand higher heat.

2. I haf installed HID onto my bike.

3. I haf removed my pole lights coz i dun really like the pole lights

My OTR is 5.6

 

I'm 19+ n 2nd party insurance.

 

Machine price for me is 4.8k
