Bro waadee, u live in CCK and ur gf lives in P. Ris, rite? Well, I live in Bt Batok and my gf lives in P. Ris too. So maybe we can ride our Pulsars together when meeting our gfs. Haha!

Another coincidence - my gf lives in P. Ris St. 21 - same street as Bro Jeffaw!

Looks like the 3 of us can have frequent Pulsar riders' mini-gathering at P. Ris.

Hahaha!

Den I stay in pasir ris. can meet me oso!! I no gf. LOL

My previous rides: A Pulsar Rider (27/4/2006), A S4 Vtec III Bolder Rider (12/6/2007), SYM GTS 200 (/12/2013),

By the way, the engine oil for the Pulsar, is it 15W40 or 20W50?

Universal Motors now does not include box in the standard package for the Pulsar. Can still ask for box lah, but now gotta pay extra.

Collected my Pulsar yesterday from Universal Motors. It's supposedly the latest variant of the current model - comes with engine kill switch that earlier variants do not have.

I was pleasantly surprised that the roughness of the 1st gear and crashing/slipping of gears at cruising speed that were reported by many riders who bought the Pulsar earlier do not exist at all in my bike. Moving off and changing of gears (both upshift and downshift) were smooth. Was even able to squeeze thru traffic at junctions and in jams in 1st gear

Stalled a few times when moving off. Still getting used to throttle/clutch control (was wearing gloves so a bit difficult to feel biting pt.) Also ended up in neutral gear a few times while changing from 1st to 2nd cos did not apply enough pressure on the heel gear pedal which I was using all the way. Because I was wearing hiking boots and the gear shifting was so smooth, I could hardly feel whether I had changed gears or not. :giddy:

My only complaint so far - the 60kmh at 5000rpm (within the green zone on the tachometer) running-in speed. It seemed to had taken me ages to ride on the PIE from Bt Batok to P. Ris. Practically every other vehicle overtook me - scooters, cubs, cars, vans, lorries, buses, even trailers. Luckily for me, I have driving experience. Otherwise, it would have been an intimidating 1st-time ride on the expressway for me indeed.

All in all, 2 thumbs up for the Pulsar! :thumb: :thumb:

guys, dat day i went back to universal to saw off the heel gearing part and the mechanic told me that moving off in gear 1 does not need half clutching method..

can just release the clutch after u throttle..tried it these few days and realize its smoother..maybe some of ya know liao..just inform u all so every1 can benefit from it..

brader ray.. must be the same mech who told me dat also.. i tink his name is ah seng... nice guy.

brader jeff, if u mean by the top box being angled... i tink any rack can do that.. even mine can.. just need to do some adjustment and the box can be tilted front to make more of and angled look.
