Guys, just wanna check does anyone is having the front license plate as sticker instead of the plate?

My colleague just bought the bike yesterday and having the same version like bro roadrunner.compared his with mine and not much different i think except the new engine kill switch.but his front license no. is only sticker at the headlight.

after checking out with the bike shop, owner says all their front license plate are stickers.

Anybody knows whether we are entitled to get both no. plates or up to the decision of the shop owner? The bike shop is just few shops away from Universal.

Worst thing for my fren is that just after collecting and riding it back to work, few hours later the bike cannot start. Even after 10 pple tried to get it start with all the different methods still cannot start.Bike had to be tow just now and even the bike shop mechanic cannot start it and doesnt know whats the problem. Now the bike is being sent to Universal for the them to check it.

Hopefully no one else kena this problem cos sure sucks big time.waited so long to take out the bike only for the bike to be tow on the same day with problem unknown.:giddy:

anyone here heard of a sort of ringing bell sound on ur pulsar at slow speed between gear 2 - 4 ? also how much is the bridgestone battle ax tyres 1 set ? and does our bike start having vibrations on the fuel tank at 80km/h ?

penunggu, i think i occasionally hear the ringing sound too..but i realized if i throttle more then the sound doesnt occur...or izzit engine too loud then cant hear it..will ask the mech abt it during the servicing..or any1 got any suggestions?

Hi waadee, I don't think an after market kill switch is a good idea. For one, it involves tampering with the main lifeline of the bike. Unless done perfectly, it could screw up the electricals of the system. For a minor convenience, that is a thumb switch versus reaching out your hand, I personally feel cutting the ignition line wires is not a good idea. Just my 2 cents! :thumb:

Bro, that's cos the engine's knocking. The reason is that the engine is not generating enough torque at that gear. If you hear the sound, and immediately shift to a lower gear, you'll see that the sound disappears.

Ride in lower gears if you're at low speed. Don't try to force the bike. It will do more harm in the long run. Maintain the right RPM to keep the engine from ringing. This sound is only in the dual spark plug Pulsar. The older ones don't make this noise, they just jerk.

My no. plate (from Universal) is still metal type and not sticker type. But it's screwed onto the headlight fairing, above the headlight, on the windshield. David said that Universal does not put the front no. plate below the headlight fairing anymore cos it's not allowed by TP. If any of u guys wanna change ur front no. plate to the sticker type, I'm sure there're many shops out there that can do it.

Anyway, after reading the problems by various Pulsar riders, I think I must be one lucky son of a gun cos my Pulsar has been a sweet ride so far without any problem :thumb:

Only problem is the rider still stalls the engine once in a while cos still getting used to the bike's throttle/clutch control. Yesterday during evening rush hour, stalled the engine in the middle of a traffic light cross junction!

The results for my fren bike is out.Seems like there are some connector problem.

Thumbs Up:thumb: for Universal for changing the whole cable to solve the issue.Bike also able to pick up today.

About the no plate thing,i guess my fren got cheated by the shop...the shop owner sure wants to make money by small things also.Hmm if put the no plate on the headlight like damaging the looks for the headlight.

Thanks bro roadrunner on the info that tp doesnt allowed the no plate to be placed below the headlight.guess better avoid seeing them.

I think those having problem with the first gear clutch/throttle thing, maybe u need to get used to it.It took me some time but now no problems..can even pick up fast or slow smooth pick up.prefer the later cos by fast pickup and throwing clutch....confirm later got gear drop.

I guess most of us are having those small minor issue on our pulsar which is also connected to our own individual riding skills. But def. all of us are satisfied with our ride.:thumb:

Get it when you want it.

When the time comes such that you need it, it's not there, and it'll be too late.
