Viva La Pulsar.

welcome.. well indeed pulsar is better choice than waves caomparing the tank size..

even thou u stay in central or tampines, you'll still save si much money on fuel. cos 1 litre of petrol can travel 50km.. and calculating from woodlands to the furthers in singapore is not more than 50km.. or maybe less than 55km.. so you save so much.. but the thing about waves why ppl like is because can do alot of mod.. change here and there..

but the bigger the bike the more stable right? and bigger tyre too..

drop any questions if u have any doubts

cheers

Changed my aluminium front no. plate to sticker type for $8 (no idea cheap or expensive). Looks nicer and neater. Just hope won't get stopped by TP. But didn't do hazard lights cos wanna do it at the next DIY session. Alex, is it on? Sat or Sun is fine with me.

My Pulsar is the latest variant of the current model. So far, no such problem in shifting from 3rd to 4th gear. Even problems such as rough 1st gear and gear crashing that were reported by owners of earlier variants of the Pulsar do not seem to exist in my bike

Insurance:

Mitsui 2nd Party (Third Party, Fire & Theft), 35 yrs old, single rider, P-plate - $280

Mitsui 1st Party (Comprehensive), 35 yrs old, single rider, P-plate - $500+

So for Mitsui 1st Party (Comprehensive), 21 yrs old, single rider, P-plate - not sure how much exactly but safe to say $500 + a few hundred $.

And 1 more thing ..... everything else being equal, Mitsui insurance premium is supposedly the lowest around.

A crash bar, as the name suggests, is a bar that is fixed to a bike to protect the left and right sides of the bike (especially the tank and engine) in the event of a fall.

Bro,i dun think Mitsui insurance is the lowest around. my insurance AIG 1st party already costing me almost $1K.mitsui will cost me almost $1.3K and NTUC will cost me more than $1.5K..im 25 and my license is already 6 years.

i do recommend to try get 1st party insurance if u guys can afford it cos u may never know what gonna happen next."touch wood" when accidents/theft/fire happens then u will realize the difference between all 3 insurance party. better to invest abit more rather than have to fork out even more later. furthermore its a first hand bike.

gear crashing is a common problem on all our pulsars.. even owners in idea face the same problem.

i call it production sickness... a mass problem cause somewhere in the factory.

anyway iam so happy that the pulsar thread is so active with new braders asking qns and current pulsar riders doing new mods...

if any of the new guys are worried... let them know that the 7 of us and more others who have own the pulsar have not faced any major problem with our pulsars... seems like we just goin to make it better.

Bro Alex, sun will be good if im working nite shift.Btw is it confirm there will be a DIY session for the hazard lights?..if not thinking of doing it at those bike shops.

Bro Goof, hopefully u can arrange one day to go to ur fav bike shop at JB.confirm want to fix the belly pan.maybe next week planning to do the seat wrap as well.got to think of the colours and design.

Bro Kckerk, did your fren just bought the bike n still runnning in?During running in,sometimes the gear shifting rather rough and may experience gear dropping etc.

maybe can ask your fren to travel on normal road more to try season the gear shifting cos lotsa traffic lights so u will play with the gear more. worst to worst case just go back to the bike shop where he bought the bike and ask them to check on it.:thumb:

By right all pulsar comes with crash bar, its with the crash bar but SOME shop actually remove it and make extra cash for selling to customer separately.

thats why i warn newbie before they buy, ask if it comes with crash bar coz it

part of the package.

just now i cam down to Universal to do my carb servicing $18 and change my spark plugs.

But the main reason i came down is actually to settle the rest of my installment.

my installment is for 24 mths but so far i've paid 3 mths and wish to pay the remaining and close it and also to get the REBATES. but i was disappointed to know that they told me in the policy shows that i can't get back REBATES.

Is it true guys? heard about it? anyone know about it?

and the boss Mr J told me out of good will he'll give me $40. than i told him izzit alright with him if i would like to take a look at the policy, and he told me to go back and check. but i ask him nicely can i see the policy now at your office since i'm here, and reply the same thing for me ot go back.. i just smile and ask him if i can do my carb service here, so i do my service lor.. sad sad..

i know that they earn the interest from our installment. so i just wanna know if this is true. i've read the policy but nothing said about no REBATES if we settle early..

i wanna confirm with you guys before going down tomorrow. i'm very disappointed.

If things get ugly, i'll ask my uncle to come down, he's a lawyer.

Wah Bro Goof, good lah if ur uncle is a lawyer. We can appoint him as our Pulsar group's unofficial attorney to help us with any legal matters that we might face :cheeky:
