Bro waadee,i do agree most of us still have this problem but dat also depends on ur own riding skills...so far so good,i have not had this problem for a long time already...

Maybe u should check with our bros here who change from big cc bikes to pulsar on the pros and cons and do consider well.but if u got the extra income then go ahead.

well i dun face this problems.. reason be, maybe, coz i'm using the 'rear' gear lever.. you know the gear lever, the back part.. i use the back part to up my gear.

coz there's where my gear changing sit in and change smoothly..

think about it, putting a force downwards is much easier than pull it upwards.

coz sometimes u accidently use little strength to up gear, and before the gear change, you throttle.. thats why this happen..

i dun know if you guyz understand my explaination..

Brother Wadee> Congratz!

Finity>> the reason most, not all, newly 2B license riders had an accident coz of reckless riding.. well my advice is to be humble, ride with the right speed. reason be coz most riders tend to speed when they see a bike ride pass them. like an ego thingie.. but dun care about this male ego thingie, have a safe ride. and secondly, try not to over take cars inbetween them.

and its a NO NO to over take from a bend OR ride in between cars in a bend, very important, unless you skill enough, even thou you are also, other road users might not turn a bend smoothly, they tend to swift more right or left, and other big vehicle hard;y see thier side mirror when its in a bend coz they are focusing thier turn..

well its hard to put it in words, u learn it as u ride...

good luck.. so far me no accident, just slightly knocked behind a pick up once..

normnal reason, coz of some stoopid cab driver, change lane without looking at blind spot. but that time i was riding my vespa and my brake wasn't that great. hah! damage, only my mudguard slight dented and my front license plate.

alamak brother...last min ah..anything u msg me earlier ah 94879114

Bro finity, fall/skid,accident are all part and parcel of riding a bike.Actually the more fall/accident etc that u had,the more experienced and mature u will be thus u will actually think twice again about doing something stupid and def value ur life more than than ever.

Outspoken>> sorry lah, i stored your number, anything me sms you.

anyway i exactly agree with what he said. its been so many many time i skid.. even when turning and at bend, and Thank God, i didn't fall.. so now.. even the road is slightly wet, i will really slow down like some newly passed biker and make a safe turn, more so when i pillion my gf.

Before I got my Pulsar, I (1.63m, 60kg) was worried that the bike would be too heavy for me due to its large tank, especially when it's fully filled. But when I rode it for the very 1st time, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to handle the bike. It's almost like riding the BBDC 2B training bike (Honda CG125). In fact now, I wish that the Pulsar is heavier so that it'll be more stable, especially when cruising on the expressway. My point is - the Pulsar's weight is not an issue at all.

I had a fall on the bike once, only 1 week after collecting it from Universal Motors. I stopped at the side of a slightly down-slope road. When I was abt to dismount, the bike fell on its left side. I guessed it was because I did not deploy the side stand fully and turn the front wheel to the left. I checked my bike, expecting the worst. But the only damage was to the front mudguard (a few deep scratches) and the round end of the clutch lever (paint scrapped off). No other damages, not even a dent. Amazing! My point is - most falls, if not all, are due to riders' carelessness, not because of the bikes.

Just remember to practise what u've learnt. Keep a safe following distance. Reduce ur speed when the road is wet, when negotiating turns, corners and bends, when approaching junctions, pedestrian crossings, road hazards, etc etc.

These will help to reduce the chances of falling/skidding. U can also replace the Pulsar's stock tyres with better ones like Bridgestone's Battlax BT39.

Todayis a good n bad day for me. Went for my last circuit revison n road revison.

Good n bad thing is i know something, wheel lock. Happen a lot of times, not sure is rider fault or brake fault. cause got to step hard on the brake to see the bike stop. Lucky it always happen when i am about to stop, so no skidding at all.

Hi, martin nice for you to pop in here. So u must be riding pulsar 150 right ?

Hi folks,

Just wanted to inform everyone that there is a new Pulsar rider on Singapore roads - ME!!!!

Yup, finally purchased my Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-i. Still running in so can't comment much except that it is a smooth and sturdy ride. Should be about 3-4 months before I'm done with the running in period. Should be able to share more comments then.

Anyways if you (fellow Pulsar riders) are having a meet up do PM me. I don't come to this board often as it is often lagging so I do hope you can PM me.

Hope to see you folks on the road. Cheers.
