sorry guys, sat i not free. going kulai for dinner keke

 

btw, this is my 2nd full servicing.

 

usually this is wat i will do:

 

change plug x2

eng oil

tighten chain

wash/service carb

change air filter

No more regrets.

hmmm... i got very bad experience when i use to send my Krr to JB for repairing n servicing... so better not, even those malaysian working in sg tell me so :giddy:

:smile: just back frm my 1st servicing. got a question to ask actually wat does free servicing means ? Cause i went there bring my own eo after he finish checking everythng n change my eo hecharge me $3. Is it normal for them to charge the $3 even i buy the bike frm Universal ?

$80 for what kinda sprocket and chain? Same as stock ones?

I think u should only go there based on somebody's recommendation. To me, too risky to go there on 'trial and error' or 'never try, never know' basis.

rdrunner: haha, ok eng oil when i free i go collect from u. rear brake is same as front, has got brake pad. have to change the brake pad. front also just changed the brake pad.

 

from my experience just now:

at 19,800km, front left 50%. rear left -20%. It has eaten onto the metal plate. brake pad totally gone. I will suggest all of u to change at roughly 15,000km or at most 16,000km. for me i use 60% front n 40% rear everytime i brake.

 

the sproc is stock sproc and chain. but i dint change. from what i see, the sprockets and chain probably can last another 6000km at most 8000km.

if my bike is a wave, probably i will go msia. u may say all bikes are more or less the same which i agree. however, i rather give a mechanic who is familiar with this bike to service :)

 

 

2 plugs $6.50 x 2 = $13.00

service carb = $18.00

rear brake pad = $20

eng oil = $10 (used their semi syn 20W50)

charge battery = $2 (but they told me nvm)

tighten chain (free)

 

 

so total $61

havent changed air filter, they no stock :faint:

btw, for rear brake, u can check at the spring behind there. there is a needle like indication to check how much of ur rear brake has left :smile: just learnt something new from my dad

Means u dun have to pay for the servicing lor. I think it's a case of miscommunication. What exactly did u say to the mech? Did u say "1st servicing" or "change engine oil"?

1st servicing should be free. Only pay for engine oil

ya, or it should call Seletar Dam.. it quite famous around bikers n Drivers where to stay around n watch other pple vehicles... U know where is the Country Club at yishun? :cheeky:
