COI Problem

Hi Guys,

 

1) Got a prob. Apparently, I Cash on installment a FJR1300 and as a 2nd sub-rider. We do it on black and white such that handover of the ownership shall be done once all installment has been fully paid, otherwise, amount of installment will be payable by the owner.

 

1.1) Problem is Road Tax is expiring next Fri but Settlement Of The Installment and release of bike by Bikeshop through HPFLAS(For change of ownership) can only be done by mid Feb. I have made all installment payment but for early release I will be charged SGD1500.

 

 

Current owner is non-responsive towards SMS, only reply once every 2 days. Any idea, if I let the road tax expired from Jan till Feb and transfer of ownership at LTA, can it be done(Assuming I am going to LTA on 22nd Feb with valid inspection cert,insurance etc)? This is due to owner not willing to do a layup in order to wait for time lapse for release of bike by bikeshop.

Y dont u just send the bike for inspection?u do not need any documents except for the bike itself n know the number plate.

Also does the insurance cover six months from renewal of the new road tax?

Coz if the owner is uncooperative,u can just go to lta to renew road tax w ur inspection cert and insurance cert wic the owner give u wic hopefully covers at least six mths....cheers

 

 

Anyways i have a feeling COI stands for carry on installment...if im not mistaken...happy riding the fjr.... Seen on youtube they teach techniques how to do tight u turns on a fjr...fun to see....some more u so lucky to do tight turns on the fjr.... Happy cornering yooo

If bike is ridden without a road tax. It is a HUGE offence. Your license can say bye bye.

Late renewal only have to pay more to renew.

 

its only a few weeks to the mid of feb. Do the inspection $16+ "extend your insurance" and renew your road tax as per law.

All should be beared by the new owner
