What plate is a L8 or L9 model and how much will it be?

cos i'm looking at either ZXR400 or GSX400 but scared of the high parts cost and maintainance. what problems have you guys come across for the bike???

but comparing gsx n zxr getting a good condition gsx would be more difficult cos it is a much older bike

got a zx400l8 from looi at 4.5k. it's the 1 somebody sed has a cbr muffler bolted on. the mech sed the stock pipe has a tendency 2 rust so they replaced. it's probably bullshit but the bike seems in gd condition despite being 5 years old.

 

the engine sounds fine - bearing in mind it's supposed 2 b rough - though i hv no experience wif the zx so i can't really tell.

 

can anybody who's had experience wif dis bike tell me whether the temperature hitting center of the gauge normal? so far it hasn't gone further up but i haven't tried heavy traffic. i'm sure i won't ever ride dis bike without wearing jeans. the legs would get cooked.

 

oso the suspension, hoping perhaps il4 could giv me some advice. the rear is really stiff. the front too, but not as bad. the bike punishes me whenever the rd is rough. perhaps i should replace the rear shock? not sure if i can adjust compression damping, only rebound was mentioned. preload needs dismantling it seems.
