Hello, this one is LED Signal / Brake light... Head light is different...

Phantom is using normal bulb (not H3/4 bulb)... Can get from Ah Boy the bulb that is abit blue tinted... the light output will looks white (due to the bluish hue).

Guys.. i found the way to install the hazard light.. im riding RZX

that picture shows how i connect the wires.

4 wires on a switch with 4 connectors.

i connect the 2 wires on the signal switch which have 3 pins another 2 wires on the plug dat links to the bulb indicator.

i not sure how the circuit diagram but can try..

This thread is turning into a SCIENCE THREAD.... :giddy:

Can't understand a things you guys said... :giddy:

So... Anyone willing to help me do my Signal (X4) + BrakeLight (X2)

This question of resistors keep coming out.

If you have to ask what resistance to use, chances are your LEDs are gonna blow pretty quick, cos you dunno how they work.

Anyways, MicMasta > I can do brakelights for you, but you will have to remove your lights for me to mod :D

Signal lights I have the wrong color, my amber LEDs are too erm... reddish.

You were spotted @ GWC (again) by me on the 21 july 2006

Remove my Brake lights for you to mod? Then i'll be riding with brake lights? :help: :giddy:

But how long you need it to be removed?

Wah... You spying on me izzit? Always see me there... haha..

Anyways, one day will do, then take about 30mins to slowly install and wire it up.

If you leave your bike with Clifford for more than one day, it will be an excellent time to do the LEDs.

Each lead acid cell is 2.1volts, Motorcycles use 6 of them, or 12.6volts.

Charging of cells must be less than 2.4 volts, therefore the electrical system of cars and motorcycles are designed to be regulated at around 14volts.

Haha, I think God saw my problem, and so the low beam filament of my left headlight bulb burnt while I was on track. Now the charging voltage is almost 14V and idle voltage is 12V. Starting the bike is easier than before. What a "fix".

Not just any normal LEDs though, 3 LEDs alone provide as much light as a 25watt filament type Signal bulb. I used 6 per signal light, which is sorta an overkill.

Let me know if you're interested, I don't mind doing another project for someone else this time :D

hey neo so wat LED did you use? can share its spec, price and where to get it from?

Luxeon 3-watt LED.

Runs 3.85V, 1000ma for Blue, Green, white etc, 1400mA for Yellow, Amber and reds. Requires heatsinks to run.

Outputs about 120lumens(blue) to 170lumens (Amber). [Typical high powered LEDs output around 1 to 3 lumens]

Around US$10-$17 each, white being the most expensive.

thanks for reply anway. :thumb:

Got my LEDs through mail order, from US of A.

LEDs are attached to heatsinks using thermal heatsink paste, superglue and some imagination. The LEDs have metal base which are supposed to dissipate heat.

not your typical LED.

wah didnt know gt this kinda LEDs. but anyway i went to eBay and search they haf the same luxeon 3watt LEDs. but torch light - white light. selling at around the same price as u told me. pity they are not of other colours. else i would get the torch light and use the LEDs.

anyway if i wan u can help me order huh?

is there any other cheaper alternative of reasonable quality?

Each 3watt Luxeon LED has like 50 times the light output of conventional LEDs, at around ten times the cost.

I think thats a pretty good bargain. Or, you might wanna get the 1watt ones, at around 2/3 the cost of the 3 watt LED.

hey guys sorrie for digging this thread again.. but it seems like after much research online..

i found out that in order to rectify the blinking speed problem.. there are 3 ways..

1. Load Equalizer (no use IMHO if ya gg for brightness n power saving)

2. Heavy Duty Flasher Relay (research shows it's used in trucks)

3. Electronic Flasher Relay

I went ard hunting for the electronic relay which is supposed to blink at a standard rate regardless of wattages of bulbs.. i hunted for in the industrial parks.. car workshops.. it seems like they all think its Mars equipment.. that it dun exist..

anyone got ani idea wat to find them cept online?

this is the type of electronic relay featured online:

Its gg for $12.95 USD i tink.. not sure..

Hi guyz, digging this up as i plan to do an LED brake light on my bike and need this thread as a reference and to ask for some help  My electrical back ground is extremely rusty and i need help in calculating the resistance.. any good souls out there :cheeky: I'm thinking of using the superflux leds as its not as heaty as luxeon and uses lesser power  Will give out more details soon.

Yo guyz, just found out the red and superflux leds are selling at 60 cents each at sim lim towers.. White ones are selling at 80 cents each.. just to update
