i think RC51 FC are abt the same, 250km is constant riding abt 90+km without much traffic light.

it should be quite cheap as they are renting a suite(RM600).. 1 suite inside got 3 rooms.. the above mentioned bikes all got bring wife n gfs except azim.. if u're going, can share wif him bah.. around RM100 per person?? all these i have to check it out first n double confirm..

Few days ago, an ang moh offered to buy my bike...i told him market ard 8K++..but if i wanted to sell it at 10k++ wz my accessories...best offered was 9K++today received a PM from a malaysia guy looking for VTR SP also...

 

EVen in orchard rd a few of them asked me where to buy this bike...

Busy but ok:thumb:. Didn't ride into M'sia on my big bikes since the rains started, but normal M'sia riding will resume when it's drier:).

 

I've ever ridden in torrential rain, while riding on the SP1 coming back on the NSH between Kulai and GP turn-off. There were loud claps of thunder and lightning every few seconds. The rain was so heavy that even my visor(treated with Rain-X just before every ride) was blurred because the water just can't clear fast enough, visibility was down to about 5m. Worse still, the speed of all cars slowed down tremendously because they also could hardly see(I think I was able to see better than them) and all their hazard lights were on. Moreover, I was afraid of being struck by lightning cos I was the tallest among the cars. And I couldn't park at the NSH breakdown lane cos it's dangerous. But, fortunately, I made it safely to the 1st toll after the turnoff to GP, and waited out the rain. I don't like this dangerous experience.

 

Hey, you sure S$1k can get an Akrapovic full system? Can pass? ...Actually, ...I don't need more power.

 

My SP1 is perfect for any 4-hr(one-way, non-stop except for petrol) riding in M'sia, especially on trunk roads like to Mersing(1hr 20mins from GPesso non-stop) - I prefer it to my UJM Suzuki 1200. Its torque allows for easy overtaking, just like my 1200; cornering is so precise, not affected much by lumpy road repairs. It will always bring a smile to my face. And the pleasure of using its torque to pull hard out of each corner is so enjoyable:thumb:. It enters corners later and pulls out of corners harder than my 1200. My 1200 is more relaxing when it is ridden at a slightly less hectic pace.

 

That's why I prefer riding solo when using the SP1 for M'sia. The 1200 is for the times when my wife comes along. But I don't think I can tahan more than 4 hours non-stop, to KL for example. Old already mah:lol: 51 already:).

 

Hmmm... maybe I should try a trip to Phuket on it. I keep telling my friends who go up that I'd rather fly to Phuket and then rent a car there - plane ticket cheaper than bike costs, and I save 2 days plus 2 nights' hotel costs.

 

But they tell me it is for the thrill of riding. But I don't find riding or driving on the NSH thrilling cos I've used it hundreds of times already, for example, I've already driven to Penang around 30 times. And the 1st time I went to Penang was in 1979, riding along trunk roads on my Suzuki TS185C scrambler.

 

Maybe I should ride the West Coast trunk roads to Penang, then to Phuket. It's the journey, not the destination, right? And, after all, it IS for the ride, right?

 

Wah, ... thinking this way, and being so long-winded in this post, confirms that I'm already old. :)

yup....2nd hand HRC Akrapovic basic race full system exhaust...In the aftnoon, i meet your fren at Motoworld...i think that time u recommended him that 1 guy wanted to sell off his bike(staying at Kallang)

Hey guys, been busy for a while , Frank I too had a TS185 Blue colour remeber it so well still , only went as far as Desaru, Oh M.Max about the SP1 , I am glad I have got & you don't that kind of feel , it is really going to be a modern classic, it is not lik eif you have 20k and wanted a R1 , you go out & get it almost tml , but on the other hand if someone offered me 20k fo rmy SP , sure sell ha!! ha!! money talks !!! I had a good ride to Moto GP recently and swap bike with my friend a KTM RC8, frankly I felt safer on the RC51 at 240km/h , feels more planted & stable , I am going to kepp mine till someone offers 20k ha!!!
