Hi guys. Been looking thru this thread for quite awhile now. I'm happy to know that there are still riders having passion for VTRs. Please include me in as another rider for the SP1.

 

Secondly, does anyone knows where i could get front and rear original indicator lights and original side stands?

Thanks VTR1000SP. Nope never met him. Azim if you're reading this, hello neighbour. Actually bought the SP1 back in year 2000, had her for about 1 and a half year then sold it off. Recently, I managed to track her back and offer to purchase her back. Now shes back with me for almost 3 weeks. But theres a lot of work need to be done. Got to get her restored back to her original cond. Spray paint, recheck and buff-polish the chassis, inspect the engine, suspension setting etc. Money money money. Headache headache headache. Donation box open for restoring of my SP1. Feel free to donate. Ha ha ha.

Wow u gt the 1st batch back den :thumb:.

 

RC51 should b not so problematic, do full servicing & valve clearance should help. if too much wear & tear den tat's gonna b alot of $$$$.

There is vibrating sound on the front engine...might as well change some parts & redo the bike properly...i might be joining the PG race if the bike is gd enough...

Mighty Max, where do you normally send your Sp1 for this kinda work (overhaul). Previously, I send to Gerry Looi in Tampines with the Mech Amir. Is he still around.

 

Secondly, all, where could i get my hands on a rear hugger? I'm also actually looking to get a handle bar (Original or aftermarket). Actually, been in touch with slinkykat, he might have a pair of used handles but pending for me to view it. Mine currently rusty and i have problem having smooth thro operation.

Today 5 lap race i ended comin 4th place...

 

For those interested to learn racing line in PG, i did managed to talk to XPetronas riders(Asia Pacific Road Racing Riders) that they willing to conduct lesson..price Rm1500

I was lucky to get 4th...

1st place was then petronas rider, 2nd & 3rd local riders..4th me...im not far from the 2nd & 3rd rider...race stop at 3 lap only due 1 rider crash at turn 3...

 

Im not fast...need to learn more....if u see the petronas rider u b surprised..from last row...all the way at the front....

 

That why i always go on trackday..learn from there..

 

Managed to spar with RSV bike.....dammmm fast lah the bike...the bike keep pulling away from me...but i beat him at corner due he his new on the track...\

 

 

So next April 2nd trackday...i b goin again...
