VTR 1000 SP 1 & 2 Riders?

To Kian leong, you can ask any questions here. Sure got people answer one. Anyway, one thing I notice is that stock and street legal exhaust don't allow the SP to breath well. After I changed to illegal exhaust, bike temperature dropped by 10 degree. Never go more than 100.

btw mine friend's sp2 is drinking like 220km den reserve light on... ur f/c is shitty as mine.. mine is 185km hit reserve.. i'm riding a cbr anyway..

I've just bought a 2nd-hd '02 SP1 a few hours ago today. My bike's all standard with 26k km kmileage. I need help concerning sliders - I'm trying to figure out where to mount frame sliders, bobbins(if that's what they're called), etc. What's a suitable/attractive brand of sliders available in S'pore shops for this bike? It'll pain my heart if this bike is dropped.

 

Lots of stuff in the Net though. But always wary of using Net payment.

 

Will ride into Mersing this Saturday to get used to this bike. Anyone interested in this ride? GP Esso 0700hr.

Its too low liao. maybe becoz of ur after market pipe.. no pc? if theres den maybe tuning problem le.. 220km hit reserve and 40km of reserve should be de normal rate..

have to drill hole on de fairings.. as for brand.. i tink motivation is de 1 ba..

where to mount i not really sure.. coz i always go to my mech at alexander village.. if drop, de pipes sure kanna.. so best dun drop..

I saw some examples of sliders installations in BikePics - white, black, red, bare metal, etc. I think white seems more suitable cos it's right at the white VTR words.

Any more meetups? I'm interested in seeing how other SP1/2s are done-up. So far, I only know one other SP2 owner.

 

 

Anyway, I've found out this morning that the moment I see the low-fuel warning light, I must straightaway go to a petrol station for fuel, and not try to make it to GP Esso.

 

I ran out of fuel around Jurong East and got to push to a petrol station.
