wow VTR2000SP where got time to ride like this - work 6 days till 10pm maybe we can meet up first , evryone post in the register of RC51 owners inother countries I heard RC51 riders very passionate about their bikes , VTR2k SP - we may arrange a ride on a Saturday for track day at PG or just twisties to Mersing - hope you start work later though cos we can meet 7am ride & be back to Singapore before 1pm ???? ok lets fill the registry first & with no objections from others make VTR2000SP our Captain if it is ok or president of our Club RC51OG ( owners group )

M Max , congrats again , there seems to have no temp gauge , but I guess at moving speeds 90/100kmh should be normal 90degress -95degrees, fan normally on Honda's should activate at 103-105 not sure but my last VFR had temp gauge so I am able to tell based on VFR ha!!! Ya , I think the tank design is strange , my too got some rust coming on the inside , therefore I am trying always to keep my petrol full - I saw in EBay yesterday tank on sale at US$30 plus maybe bidding has not gone frantic yet , so ok for tomorrow night - RC51OG Inauguration Meet 8pm onwards at Kallang MacDonalds -

According to my VTR1000SP Owner's Manual, yr2000

 

On the left of your instrument panel is a squarish multi-function select/reset button.

 

Each time you press this button gives you either of 3 modes: odometer, tripmeter, coolant temp. At tripmeter, if you press and hold, it will reset.

 

At coolant temp mode: "--" is displayed below 34 deg C. Actual temp indicated between 35deg and 132deg. Above 132deg, reading will freeze at 132. Boiling point(shut-engine-immediately point) is 122deg C, and the display will keep flashing 122deg, even if you've on odo or trip mode.

 

Honda puts in a 50/50 antifreeze/distilled water into the SP1. It recommends high-quality ethylene glycol antifreeze with corrosion protection inhibitors especially for aluminium engines.

 

Note: I should be able to turn-up at 9pm for the meetup:thumb: , though I'd rather ride to Mersing than sit down and chit-chat. But this first time is ok.

Hey all , our first meet-up , glad we did , most of us are new to SP esp me , Frank & Mighty so lots to talk about , exchange ideas on mods , compare bike s, mileage wah !! list can go on , will be nice if a SP2 came along for our next meet up which I intend it to be a month from now cos too many meet-ups normally can be boring - so also I found out in our group some like to track , some short tours to Mersing , some can on Sat , some only Sundays , I wil try to figure out a good solution , also I beleive some may have your regular riding kakis , but if do plan any rides, others may be welcome too -KL tried his best to meet us but guess was too late & we all had to leave at 11pm , find attached pix , what a sight, I thot SPs were rare & to see 4 pc in want go , is simply shiok don't know how to post on this forum le ???
