Seems like you're a top-speed guy. I'm not a night-time 2nd link guy - only a ride to Mersing, or Batu Pahat, or Kuantan, or Kluang/Jemaluang guy (anywhere including/South of KL/Kuantan). Sort of a half-a-day in-the-morning thingie, or a few night's stay somewhere thingie sort of a person.

I will be in KL tomorrow till Sunday going there for some work , riding up in my ST1100, tempted to try the SP 1 , thnk it will last there all 320km but I am worried about my back ha!!! so if any of you Malaysia , I can meet you on Sunday to ride back

KL dun always go 2nd link at nite clear carbon or test top speed la *anyway our top speed oso not so high*, is veri dangerous as u won noe wad in front of u, try speeding on track or day time touring, i assure u it really more fun & safe.

wow ! VTR , 1st outing in 3 years !!! can't believe it , yes friendship takes time to build up , most have their own riding kakis , to organise groups under type of bike sometimes has it's disadvantage , liek e.g. last Gold Wing meber, many typs of characters , some you get along , some you don't , it is natural , but so far , meeting VTR, MM & FY , I believe all are nice ppl really !!! I noticed that you've removed the Flapper Valve and the Pair System. I've read about it and thought of removing mine, though I'm not sure whether we have the Flapper system cos I thought only Australia models have it.

 

Anyway, how's the outcome of the removal of these systems? Any problems with it and the rideability of the bike?

i had my disabled + themo stack removed as my mech & a ex SP1 rider say is better 4 our bike... pair system & themo slack is more 4 cold country if u read how it works *sorri my england veri limited*

 

end of the day it work better can feel ur bike lighter & the flapper valve restrict or slow down ur RPM when u rev ard 5 to 7k. after remove i din see may lack btw 5 to 7k rev *correct me if i'm wrong*

try bikeworkz at kaki bukit shun li ind building. gd work man ship & reason price if gg look 4 ah beng, my bike was done by ah beng all the while & if some things not done well he will check & fix foc if the fault was due to work man ship.

less den $100 to disable system pair & flapper valve + remove themo slack. i change coolant & my pair system already disabled, so is much cheaper.

 

is real gd ! remove themo slack make gd use of ur left radiator, *themo slack *i dunno how to spell* how the themo slack work, is when it hit certain high temp i not sure how high den it will let the coolant flow into the left radiator. by removing it the coolant will flow into both radiator when ever u ride, much balance. as u can feel usually when u start riding ur bike only ur right radiator r hot & only when u hit certain high temp den ur left radiator start to warm or hot up, tat's due to themo slack. *veri poor english* hope u understand

hi guys, sorry did not post cos was away in KL, wow lucky did not ride the RC51 SP 1 there or sure got back problems, BIG HI to slinkycat & Bike 82- don't worry if you miss the 1st meet-up ,just make it for the next ha!! ha!! just joking , how can talk like this Ya !! hey guys there is a SP 2 in our midest namely biker82, we need to see your bike man !!!

 

I was thinking - if the 1st right radiator start to work will not help to warm up the bikefaster , I mean as long as it reaches operating temp & the other radiator opens if needed too is fine , think is a good compromise - if it is a cold cold country then the bike can operate on just the right side is fine - anyway don't flame cos I'm not an engineer , just thinking my 2 cents worth,

 

Brother MM , ride at 9pm at Tuas link , sure jam till 10pm , min 1 hour, I tell you these days the queues is crazy , 2 counters for thousands of Mlaysian bikes , the way to find cheap petrol ( whch is not much savings actually ) you see our bike is 18 litre , youcan't go in empty , so maybe if you timed it correctly , youmay have 17 litre when you reach esso 2nd link - if you turn ard immediate - you save S$0.80 per litre which is 0.8 x 17= $13.60 take away toll charge leaves you $12 , take travelling cost there, tires, jam - save a little only -

 

How about a ride this Saturday 28th November but to avoid traffic is meet at Esso GP 1 at 7am - any later man you're on your own , we leave sharp at 7.30am to twisties at Mersing breakfast & back 1pm , hope Frank Y can help enlighthen us the way there ? friends also welcome , no worries , we are not asking you to negect your other riding kakis just for SP Club ha!! How brothers any want to ride this Sat cos next week is long weekend, Mlays will celebrate Hari Haji

 

Ok let's see the response before it can be confirmed , no use for me to ride to mersing alone, but if you guys want a shorter one , I remember the back roads to Machap is fun too , not too much twisties but ok then cna blast back from Machap , all can be back in Singaore 11pm , I mcuh prefer the Machap option if Frank knows the way cos then both way not so hot if come back ard 12pm very hot !!!

Guys another option,

 

How about riding on Pasir Gudang Track ? Yes it cost 50rm for an hour but it is very safe , no oil , sand , pesdestrians, cars doing illegal U -turns etc.... 10 laps with 13 corners gives you 130 corners most corners than Route 40 to Mersing ( Frank don't flame ) ha!! ha!! soif you do 20 laps is 260 corners more than fun remember SAFTY !!

 

Also before I forgot , we are fortunate to have a very good track rider in our midst , let's have him give us a few tips on safe riding & cornering techniques , how to position your self for a corner, counter-stering, body len etc.... NOT speed maybe we buy him breakfast & coca cola ha!! can Mighty Max !!!! He has done 1.45 on PG man that is fast - most 1st timers will do 2 mins & more , who's not been on a Track ?? it where you can dress up like your favorite Moto GP hero .emulate his style & take pixs etc... but you can also ride brake-free ,meaning no need to brake so late , just enjoy it as you riding along the road to Mersing , how guys want to consider 9.30 am session finish 10.30am back to Bike show in Singapore

Saturday meet 2nd-link GP Esso 7am for Mersing ok with me.

 

We can go by NSH (not to-Senai-airport way), enter at Kulai turn-off, travel South a bit at the trunk road (cos we're at North of Kulai), turn left at a T-junction(also a big Buddhist crematorium there) which goes Kota Tinggi, then go Mersing from Kota Tinggi. And back the same way. Should reach home by 2pm.

 

And we can stop for breakfast either at Mersing or Jemaluang depending on whether we need halal food or not. Then ride back.

best is full racing gear...if u have leather jacket wz protection should b ok in pg..LEATHER JACKET WZ ARMOUR, RACIN LEATHER GLOVE, FULL FACE HELMET & RACING BOOT WILL DO IN PG Track..for Sepang i think they dont allowed..
