it is a well known fact that authorised dealers usually give discounts below the Recommended Selling Price while the main agent or distributor will not budge - they dun want to spoil market. This applies to any kind of bike products or even the bike itself. Good example is you can buy yoshi endcan from many dealers cheaper than the main agent.
