how abt Metzeler ME1(sori dun noe the spelling)..it cheap also right..

I think the ME1 are cheaper than GPR70 and BT090, can check the super4 component cost list, performance wise not sure, as I have not seen any review on it. Make a search probably you will find something on it.

Pirelli MTR01/02 is selling $200 front and rear at LAB & HKL slightly cheaper than Bridgestone and Dunlop.

You mention 1&3 not firing, try pulling the spark plug and check for sparks, I assume you know how to do this. If there is no spark, try replacing a good one on the cap and try again.

If still fail check the primary and secondary resistance of your coil according to manual, replace if its faulty. If resistance check is ok, unscrew the plug cap and trim the wire abit and screw back the wire into the coil and test for spark again.

Keep us posted on the result, and try to replace the rubber cap on your spark plug cap because this part is notorious to crack after prolong usage and rain water will find its way into your spark plug recess hole. Mine I think the previous owner have replace all of them because they are in good shape.

I haven explore that area yet, I'm not sure if its easy to fix, can check the manual to assess the difficulty. But I'm gona to open mine soon to clean up the gunk there, because gear shifting is becoming clunky lately.

Your tire loose grip may be due to the end of it life cycle even though there are plenty of threads left. Times to shop for a new pair of tires.

My front tire is slightly warped, worse on uneven road, esp in malaysia. Going to change them soon.

Burdder when did you last do servicing for your bike?? Maybe its due for the following.

1. Change engine oil and filter, use good engine oil

2. Clean the air filter

3. Clean the carburetor and syn it

4. Change new spark plugs

You can go to Datsun's father shop for the service.

Btw suzuki engine very robust, unless you alway whack and never take care of it, seldom need overhaul leh.

sh*t! now that you mention, my bike is already overdue for its servicing. very busy w work n studies to service her. must sayang her by next week for being so good to me........ :cheeky:

 nothing is working too well. the plugs are firing, the water is dried. seems like it could be carb dirty due to the downpour. now problem is cannot idle only. can ride all the way no problem, till reach traffic light then die. tried STP gas cleaner or something, still not working. will be washing carbs to see if its anything wrong with the pilot system.

The problem came after heavy down our I wonder if water has gone into your fuel tank?

I'm looking for a red fuel tank (color doesn;t matter as long its not dented) , CDI and seats if you scrapping the bike. A spare carb I wouldnt mind if its cheap.

If you like the bike probably you can spend some $$ fixing it.

GSXR shock rebuilt est $300 bikelab

Clutch plate $80 (friction) $50 (metal plate if its warp) plus engine oil approx $160

Engine bearing not sure which you refering to most probably it will need replacing, I suggest for top end overhaul if it deep inside the engine. Probably another $500 at Guan Hoe.

Tires is approx $200 per pair at LAB or HKL, cheaper one is available as well.

COE renewal not sure how much probable $100 over bucks.

Otherwise scrap the bike and make some $$ selling the good parts and get a better Bandit which is approx $1200-$1300 market price.

yep

Brudder my advice is get a quote from bikeshop to see how much they want to eat your bike first before stripping the parts and selling it off bit by bit. Because you may end up holding alot of spares which is taking up space at your home if there is little or no buyer.

Did you get the VFR750 in the yahoo auction?

Hi guys, I still have the following parts for sale. S750WP wanted to buy only the chain without the sprockets, but I'm only interested in selling as a set.

steel braided brake line (about half a year old) and a 525 DID X-ring chain + front/rear (46) sprockets (less than 2 mths old) for sale. Reciept available for the chain/sprockets.

Chain and sprockets are extremely new. Refer to attached pic. Bought at $210, selling at $120 for the set (inclusive of new head link - $12 & installation at sanfu. Brakeline going for $60. Or get both for $150. Prices inclusive of installation @ Sanfu. I will also need your old parts to throw back on my bike.
