I believe your bike should have better fuel consumption than the normal banadit.

Probably do a general serving first to see if it will improve

1. Clean air filter

2. Change new spark plugs

3. Clean carb, check for worn out parts then syn the carb.

If need to change or wan to change wat should be the size of the pilot n jet or other needles for economical consumption or even recomended consumption?

any idea how much?

No its not mineral water, it pure drinking distilled water, I heard battery water is acidic, not good and it more expensive as well.

I have no idea, you have to refer to the bandit400V service manual for the stock jet or ask the Chief Mech at Guan Hoe. Price wise you gotta check with KS if you plan to DIY.

The gsxr and bandit have slight difference in the engine and carb. The manual should be difference from the bandit.

Bandit400V is more torquey than our normal bandit, maybe that is why he change gear at 2-3K rpm. I normally change gear at 4-5krpm too.

There is once I drag till 7-8k then change gear when a mitsubishi evo 'jio' me to run, of course I lose.

My bike has touched 301km and not hit reserve yet... hopefully it can cross the 320km mark. :cheer:

Front tire 29psi, rear 36psi, front sprocket 15 rear sprocket 45.

I just bought a fork oil seal from KS $10 and fork oil from LAB $7, my left fork leak again after 8months. Workmanship at Universal workshop at $20. Total damge $37

While at regina I saw police road block, stopping bike to spot check for illegal modification and helmet visor. Luckily I was moving off from regina at that time

Also bought a DPDT on-on switch and signal relay for hazard light switch mod. Keep you guys inform if it worked.

Hey S750WP, ok i have checked out the stock sizes of main jet pilot jet n etc ...found it in the service manual. So far my this full tank aft 207km still haven't kenna reserve la comparing to my 1st full tank kenna at 194km only.

Another thing which they didn't mention is the Radiator Cap ...wat kind of cap. I think my cap is incorrect cos i saw some dried water spots on my swing arm, rear suspension, chain guard n exhaust pipe as if i went through a puddle of mud which i didn't n no rain today or wat soever. Then i look ard carefully i think its coolant due to the incorrect radiator cap(making a guess n someone suggested too). Or cld it be something else?

Another thing will the engine oil burn if such a thing happens? i notice the E.O. level has dropped a little, though its still way above the min level as previously it was inline with the max level mark.

i really hope u can give me some helpful tips to a "depressed n stressed" newbie.

thanks

For the bandit 400, the radiator cap is 1.1bar, please check your manual to confirm for V model.

Did you refill your radiator reserve tank recently? if you overfill it, it will automatically drain off by itself when it reach the operating temperture.

Other thing to check is the direction of the reserve tank cap, if fitted the wrong direction will cause coolant to drain out.

Finally check for leak on your cooling system by monitoring the coolant level, once a week to see if its dropping.

The engine oil level should not drop, when coolant is low, if you find the engine oil still dropping could be your piston ring might be worn and engine oil slip through and burnt with your fuel, check for adnormal smoke from your exhaust.

I refered to the manual again...nt sure if i got it right.

Radiator Cap Valve opening pressure : 110kpa (1.1kg/cm2) is tht 1.1bar?

Ya my radiator was jus refilled this week when it was leaking i left it lab to change the centre core or something then they refilled the radiator not sure if they overfill.

So if its over fill the "excess" amount will come out then aft tht it shldn't happen right?

Thanks for yar advice i will go down later n check out all these.

Yes 110Kpa is equal to 1.1 bar.

After the excess coolant is drained no more coolant should drain out further.
