Where do you guys mount your Stebel horns? I try to mount it at the place where the oem horn is but only 1 horn can fit in. I want to mount it discreetly and not spoil the look of the bike. Any ideas??

K the whole story is this...when i bhought my RXZ it was the Jap model one. Meaning with the old blue colour paintjob. So aft abt a yr i went to "convert" my Jap model to catalyzer model. I change my head cowling, tank, side fairing, headlight, signal light, taillight even my speedo meter. Left alone the "chopper" type of handle to tell its not a new rxz.

So this yr when i went for inspection b4 i change bike...the fella told me tht this is not the original headlight. so cannot. I like y??

He said cos its not wat yar bike came with originally. :slapforehead:

i like should be ok wat new rxz Specs all the same only the outlooks different, if tht is approve y cannot use the new model one headlight on old model.

Then i was like going say so i using original Catalyzer pipe(my frens) also considered illegal ah? but then i didn't bring tht up. But in the end the fella let me pass inspection la n tell me if anyone stops u for this dun say we let u pass, better say i changed aft the inspection.

anyway...at the end of the day if this is seriously taken...all those bike who change like S4 changing to those RXZ type headlight...godbless.

I think its logical. Cos last time i ride LC 125 got it from my uncle n was wondering how come mine is much heavier then other LC. Found out tht my uncle put LC 350's rear suspension into my LC 125.

Logic, its meant for a bigger heavier bike so i will work better on a lighter bike. As in more tough n lasting.

Here is what the fellow do to fit in the rear shock, quite alot of work.

""A bit of hard work pays off.

All you need is the shock. nothing else. Some tools including a grinder. I used my drill with a grinder to get the job done.

First you have to take the air cleaner housing off the bike. and also the cooling housing along with the battery tray. This will give you lots of room to work in.

you also have to remove the rear tire and the swingarm because that is the only way to get the bolt out from the top of the dog bones. you can now remove the linkage.

Once you have everything off the bike, inclicing the old shock linkage and dogbones, install the new shock with the top bolt only.let it hang.

Than you should reconect the linkage at the frame but do not use the nut because you will need to pull it out and replace it a few times during the grinding.

Now that the linkage and bolt are hanging, try to connect the shock to the link and you will see that it makes contact making it so that the eye of the shock does not meet with the eye of the link. You will see where the shock and link make the contact and that is where you need to grind. If you can make a mark with a pencil it will be helpfull. Grind untill the holes from the shock and link meet. I will be a bit laborous but it works. Leave about 3/16' of space between the the shock and link. Once you are done with the lick and are able to connect the shock you will need some washers to create space between the shock and the dogbones. All this will be obvious when you start the job.

Now the reservouir on the new shock is in the way so you will have to move the battery tray back about two inches and reconnect it to the frame with some estensions. both on top and on bottom. I made mine out L- brackets. (braces). All you are doing is moving the battery tray back a couple of inches. The coolant bottle will need to move down about half an inch. The braces where the bottle botls on to are very easy to manipulate with a set of pliers. now put everything back and make sure that you tighten everything to specs.

If anyone runs into trouble I am more that glad to help.""
