is it a smaller version of the zzr600? how the hell did u find one of those? picture?!!! i love the ZZRs... especially the 1100... but of course the 600, 400 and 250 would be more practical for singapore use. my friend used to have a 400, which was sweet.

but his gearbox had problems (2nd ger wouldn't engage, so either 1st or 3rd), and i had heard of another zzr600 which had the gearbox problem. might be an issue on the whole series... jfyi :)

Don't think too hard about it. You don't need a reason.

JUST RIDE.

Hi axn85,

The problem sounds more like an electrical problem.

The Bandit has a few "safety switches" that prevents the bike from accidentally moving when the side-stand is still down. There's a neutral gear sensor, and switches at the clutch lever and side-stand.

I think one of these switches is stuck. . .

Don't think it is a mechanical (engine) type of problem...

I hope we guys can meet up one day.. There are few Bandit riders around, esp Vv ones. Anyway, has anybody tried fitting the rear with 160/60 tyres before?

Dun try 160/60 tyre on bandit P.Damn idiot one shop at euno ave 5 change my rear to 160/60 and dun wan to 150/70 back for me.trouble tat it always hit the chain where moving fast.headache..Dun go to the shop there again.

Bandit worse problem is the spark plug area causing idle bad.Pls check is ur spark plug cap is water proof enough to prevent rain and on more the rubber thing tat plug into the spark plug may due to rust when too long causing idle weak.

Bandit after carb wash n tune shld be ok for smooth riding.

I ride 150km las few wk dun dare to go more cause vibrating terribly.

Hi guys,

I'm a naked bike lover and the Bandit has always been one of my favourites due to it's unique frame design. My bike got stolen recently, so I'm thinking of getting a Bandit... if there's anyone selling please let me know. Thanks.

Hope to join u guyz for future outings =)

p.s: is the normal one called the P version? How many versions are there other than the P and V?

Yup. I remember those days about your bike's episodes

especially your rear shocks.... hehehe

IMHO, you can't go wrong with any of those 3 bikes.

Aren't your riding anymore?

Thanks for your reply rocketman and rojoana. Is the V version much more complicated than the normal one? I mean if it's due for svcing of the engine... or wad. Cos some mechs really c*** up and i might be doing it myself.

How about the price diff? Hope u can enlighten me on these too. =)

:btw: rocketman, teh TPs found my bike already but it was in bad condition... I had to send it for scrap. So now I'm wthout a ride... really want a Bandit! Hope to find one in good shape
