hi guys same question for me, i just bought a bandit from guan hoe and i notice some problem with the engine like the noise is very loud when rpm at about 4.5 - 5 and feels like dragging sound and the bike got pulling effect like engine brake. do you guys have the same problem? how much does a valve clearance cost?

 

both my front and rear brake is not so effective when i need to press rather hard for it to have the braking effect. does it means that my brake pad needs to be change?

 

How much does the spocket and chain cost and where do you all normally service your bandit?

 

What would you advise me to change or do when going for full servicing for the first time? ( E.g Flash radiator, spark plug, engine oil, air filter, Oil filter, Carborator servicing and tune)

 

What tyres do you all use? Have anyone went for overhaul?

 

My keys can be removed when the bike starts. I think the switch spoil. When i use any other key like my locker key, It can actually switch off my engine but cannot start it of course. Do you all encounter this problem before?

 

can any one list roughly the price for me and where do you all do cost i need to plan my budget..

hey guys just wondering, is the bandit engine suppose to be noisy ? At first i went to guan hoe they said i needed to do valve clerance after done so 1 month later the sound came back. they told me it is normal. So i am wondering if the bike is engine is noisy

 

yes the engine is rather noisy... for me to reduce it i change my exos hahahah... but still can hear the sound lah..perhaps we can meet and take a look and hear ur engine.

ok.. for the keys yes mine is like yours can pull out the keys after starting it.. was told it will cost ard $100++ to replace a new ones. i'm on budget so i can bear with it.

 

for engine wise yes it's noisy but tolerable. as for my case i think the previous owner never take gud care and i kena play out by my own fren and being a gud fren i belief him saying the engine is still gud. so i have decided to go for either overhaul or just top overhaul in dec. so when u bought ur bike did u ask them wat has been done to the bike before they sell it to u?

 

perhaps if u just bought it from them maybe u can go back there and tell them that the brakes r not gud and get them to fix it up for u. but ask them first if there r cost involve since u bought it from them.

 

and as for tyres diff ppl have diff preferences on tyres. price also varies for every brands. the tyre size for front is 110 and rear is 150.

 

for servicing.. if i'm not lazy and tired i will do it myself but if i am then i normally go to guan hoe at autobay kaki bukit as it's near my workplace. u can try to go to unique motor.. they r at autobay as well..

 

hope i ans most of ur questions.. perhaps for ur engine noise... maybe u can come for the meet up and we can test it for u.but as u r aware .. the bike is old.. so my case i have changed most of the parts exceot for the engine which i will be doing it in dec.

I think for the engine to be noisy for bandit is quite common as the bike is old..

but it is still tolerable.. ya maybe we have a meet up to solve the problem..

minimum price will be $250 for spraying.

i change the rear to dunlop. but planet quote me same price for dunlop and bridgestone. i only know the bridgestone size is 150/70, not sure is bt45 or not.

u mentioned that u r using the bardahloil rite. Which one r u using? the fully synthetic or semi? cos when i went to a shop they say my bike cannot use fully cos its an old bike

i have been using fully syn EO all the time leh. more likely the bike shop say no need to use fully syn and not cannot use?

 

some random uncles i met tell me cheaper and better to use semi syn EO and change every month. but too troublesome for me.

i use fully syn but take the thicker ones.. they got numbers like 5w or 10w like that..

forget what number but tell them that u want to use fully but the thicker oil..
