Hello guys, recently acquired myself a 2010 Speedy and loving it :)

I have a pair of Arrow slip-ons A9600290 which was previously fitted on it. I am letting them go to anyone who finds these suitable for their speedy as well. If you wish to know more please head over to the sales forum for more details :D

Does anyone knows if the speed's arrow slip on will fit on a street?

Not sure but i think size wise it should fit. Maybe check position of brackets to make sure.

However, you will have to tune the bike to match the exhaust or you may experience too much backfire or pops.

Hi all triumph speed riders!

By any chance if any of you guys are looking into getting good quality GOREtex jackets/raincoat. Please give my product a consideration too.

link : http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php/369640-CLEARANCE-SALES-OF-GORETEX-RAINCOATSJACKETS-(-ALL-MUST-GO!-)-Not-Common-Brands?p=7750076#post7750076

Alot of color choices and not the common brands of raincoat riders are using. Quality of water resistant is as good as NS issued. However, it's of a much thinner layers to suit our hot climate. Mutiple air ventilation zippers on the jacket too for riding during the day to protect from sun. More info please refer to thread or contact us! Thanks and ride safe! Cheers!~~

Hi bros.. am hoping to join the RATS soon if I'm welcomed in the meetings...

Haven't got myself a Triumph yet though. You see, I'm in a dilema

Street or Speed triple?

I'm 5ft10, almost 1.8m... lean frame.

I'm very happy with the power torque and grunt the 675 offers. (good)

Also it's maneuverability is awesome for traffic riding. (good)

However, the street felt a little short? cramped? for me... (bad)

It's footpegs felt higher/cramped than the speedy's. (bad)

I felt more comfortable on a speedy, comfortably stretched out (good)

Have never got a liter bike before, dunch know if I can handle the weight (???)

Using bike as a daily commute, I'm afraid the speedy will get too hot...

engine paint bubbles... mre difficult to in btw cars in traffic... and lastly..

I'll never satisfy the speedy's need for speed. (bad)

good good...bad bad...good bad bad good..dohh

Any Street/Speed rider to gimme a tip or two for Eureka!! ??

BEST if u're about same built as me...

So help me God, so help me RATS :sian:

I'm 1.8 and the Street feels ok for me, a bit small, but not overall ergos is comfortable, I can flat foot on the bike more comfortably than i can on the speed.

The street's hot as well if ur in start-stop traffic and if ur just doing urban, the street is more than adequate. It's not everyday u can fly at 160kmh.

The difference in torque and power as well as physical weight and size is what sets the two bikes apart.

nothing against the Street but it is simply too small and lacking for me. Physically feels like a class 2A bike.

I am 1.70, 85kg. maybe becos i have handled huge powerful bikes more than half my life

anyway both bikes are easy to handle. especially so since you are a fairly tall dude.

your worries are non-issues actually.

big bikes naturally get hot quicker

more difficult between cars is nonsense, sorry.

end of the day, you are the rider , you know what you prefer. I prefer the Speed Triple.

cheers

Get the bang for buck~! splurge abit more to get sumtin better of value in the long run..

Both bikes are gd.. Street more user/power friendly.. Suitable fer daily ridin..

But i'd still pick the speed.. Im 164cm 70kg.. No probs commutin with it daily.. heat wise.. still okay.. pretty normal fer class2 jap/german/italian/brit bikes..

Btw.. Does anyone noes hw many bottles of eo does the speedie nids..? Thks..!

I think that being comfortable with your ride is most important. Looking forward to ride it everyday is a good feeling.

And I don't think that a street can lanesplit or squeeze through traffic better than speed...their size are not really a big difference

Take your stab!

Engine oil requirements for the speedy (at least for my '10)

Dry Fill..................................3.5ltr

Oil/Filter Change..................3.2ltr

Oil Change Only...................3.0ltr

I've gotten the welding and snap-ring out of my arrow silencers, but the baffle refuse to budge.

Anyone got any suggestions on how to get it out?:)

have you tried with pliers?

try tapping the baffles sharply with a hammer, but not too heavily...then pull out with a pair of pliers as Boner suggests.. Otherwise double check that you have fully removed the spot weld...good luck...

cheers

Tried with one & two pliers, seems to be fitted quite tightly inside and im concerned that if i use more strength than i already m using, i may damage the silencer. I'll prob try the tapping method and see how it goes.

Thanks mate

hi guys, sorry for my lack of knowledge, its my first time owning a continental bike. i need help..

bought a 2011 speed with zard slip ons, lots of popping while decelerating. can the stock ecu be tuned? to a certain extent is it? tried the search button, but the british lads are fighting bt which is best, tuneboy, tuneecu,pc etc.. and mostly are fitted with full system.. ive also read some lads fitted with slip ons and telling others don't bother about tuning. your experience to share is greatly appreciated..

yes it can be remapped, and it should be remapped to the exhaust or you will got a lot of popping sounds.

you may also get poor response or FC if not remapped properly.

as i was told , Mah motors can do it.

hi throttle, thanks for your response. as the ecu can be remapped, am i right to say it is only up to a certain extent? where when someone changed to a full system, a remap of the stock ecu is not sufficient?

woah now i'm confused. If it can be remapped, why many of e guys in UK fixed up TuneEcu/Tuneboy etc?

I popped by Mah on Sat & got it remapped on saturday, popping reduced.

btw anyone here going for the upcoming event? launch of the new Street Triple
