I'm thinking of getting the Street Triple. Green in colour. There was a black one in the showroom in the beginning of this month. Dunno if anyone had gotten it. I was told the waiting time for the green Street Triple is 2 months.

Yah I paid a deposit. I did signed something but it is not with me. The shop has it. I don't think it states anything about waiting time. I was prepared for the long wait anyway (pple overseas wait for 6-9mths) and I already got some freebies from them (due to mass order of Triumph bikes) and I do not wish for things to turn sour. As for complaining to get freebies, I don't think it happens here in Seenkarpor.

You got the same taste as me brother. I wouldn't take the black one. White one still can consider. But if you want the green one, be prepared for the loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong wait. Who knows? Maybe there are a few green ones in the same container with my bike? Then you are lucky! If not maybe you'll get the 2009 version by the time the next shipment arrives. I think it comes in Yellow for 2009! :D

Don't know leh .. seems like a common practice in SG. I'm fine as long as they don't damage it. Think they are doing some electrical stuff under the seat.

Thanks for your compliments. We should go LTA get the pipes approved. They are approved in UK (with the baffles in) if I'm not wrong. I just came home. Went riding on the expressway to Pasir Ris (bad move!). Regret it like hell. Dam slow and tiring ride due to running in. It's a pain to keep it below 5000rpm and have to keep changing speed n gears.

Bike is fantastic when u open the throttle freely. Cars have NO CHANCE at all. You can leave them behind if you want to. Far far behind. Much much better than the Monster400. Bloody fast, smooth, torqey, comfortable seat and shorter reach to handlebars than Monster .... I love it! Throttle tends to be a little nervous when going over uneven surfaces. Need to control it really well. No regrets. Top bike of year 2008 indeed.

finally i am back again, glad ot see that you finaly got your bike!!! know it is long to ride in the bike at the beginning, but believe me it is worth it!!! I just came bakc from 2.5 days to malaysia, kuantan, cameron highlands, al by the small roads and back by small roads...1600 km, this bike is great..i am still amazed by the smooth engine, you can drive in 6th gear at 100, open the trottle and without "discussion" the bike runs up so smooth....lovely!!!!! personally Iopted for the arrow exhaust, but the low one. and i took off the passenger foot support behind, so is looking very light...I am just looking for a carbon fiber back wheel protection..

Wowee!! I went to Cameron Highlands with my Monster 2 years back. The journey down the highlands was fantastic. You'll never get that in Singapore. I'm so jealous of you!! I'm still crawling with my bike, trying to keep it below 5000rpm. But do blast it beyond that sometimes. Couldn't resist! The bike flies a few hundred meters in a matter of seconds!

What colour is your bike? Did I meet you at RAT night? I prefer the under seat exhausts purely because I like the way they look. Not much increase in performance I guess. And they weigh much lighter than the stock ones.

I just took out the passenger foot pegs this afternoon. They are a pain in the S to remove!! Got to remove the exhausts and the bolts are freaking tight! It's a delicate operation that requires brutal strength! I damaged one bolt in the process but still managed to get the pegs off. Got carried away with removing stuff, so I removed the heel guards as well. Bike looks less cluttered now. Haha.

Carbon fiber rear wheel protection? Are you referring to the rear hugger? Funny that it didn't come as a standard item. I had to pay $130 for that piece of plastic with Triumph logo.

Anyway, here's 2 lousy pictures of my bike taken tonight, after it's very first bubble bath. It was freaking dirty. Good thing the rims are black with a rough surface. Makes cleaning easier.

Everybody please post some pictures here to make this thread more exicting. :D

cars have a chance.

if i was on a haya then maybe not......

sweet machine!

Thanks Blackie. My 2 months' wait finally paid off :)

Nice looking bike! But need to find a way to conceal that ERP unit...

Cheers!

Tell me about it! Feel like putting that junk under the seat. Or on the radiator cowls. Looks like there is enough space there.

Maybe I should have said NORMAL cars have no chance. Of course a 360 can smoke anyone of us anytime.

Ok I am just happy that I upgraded from the Monster to the Street Triple. No intention of saying the Monster is a bad bike. I wouldn't have rode it for 3 years if it is not good :)

So anyway, took some better quality pictures today. If anyone is interested, pics are here: http://picasaweb.google.com/simck79/Motorcycling

yes i mean therear hugger, Isaw the plastic one also, but I think the support of it which is fixed on the bike is to big, I have the impresson that I only see this piece at the back( ok i admit sometimes I have some strange opinions..), especially when all the foot pegs etc are removed..I saw a carbon fiber one, but it comes from europe, did not manage to get 1 in singapore yet, we ll see....
