Hi

If u have $8k to spend for a "naked bike" and touring is a must then I will recommend a used yamaha xj900. It comes with half fairing and side panniers.

Others like suzuki bandit 650 and old bandit 1200 (both with half fairing).

Honda cb 750/1300, yamaha xjr1300, suzuki gxs1400 or kawa zephyr 750. But all are without any fairing. BM has nice naked bike the R1100r or R1150r but they are a bit expense than Jap bikes.

Assuming my budget is 8k.

Don't mind 2nd hand.

Have to be quite comfortable and suitable for touring.

 

Getting pretty sick of riding my runner and driving already.

 

Add a bit more $ n get a fazer1000 , the carb model.
