It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. ok i actually learnt this from Eddy Ong Motor

stuff you require

tray(like those for painting)

brush

degreaser

washing detergent

little bit of water

steps

1> mix little bit of water with detergent into tray

2> place tray below chain

3> spray degreaser onto chain

4> allow residue to drip onto tray

5> mix solution and dip brush in solution

6> use brush to apply over chain to remove all oil and dirt till satisfied

7> turn wheel

8> repeat steps 6 to 7 till chain is all cleaned

9> splash water over chain and whoila, u get a clean chain

10> apply your preferred chain protection after it's dry and warmed up

Thk for sharing!

But i use to do that on my S4 O-ring....guess wat!

Not long after, the chain start to Rust!

It dry up very fast, end up it spoil my O-ring after long dist trip...

After that No more Degreaser for me.

Now i'm using a type, so call as grease for cleaning chain(spary it on & wipe wit a cloth) & it can also work like a lube too. :thumb:

U must really take care of it bro!!!

Check 3x/week.

As for me I used deisel to clean the dirt on the chain. I use a brush soaked with deisel to brush the sprockets and chain and a used toothbrush too if needed you need a pan to contain the deisel though so you wont dirty the floor. After that I just spray it with water and guess what! Both your chain and sprockets looks brand new. This operation is a bit messy but your chain and sprockets looks nice. One set back is that you need to make sure you spray the cahin with water till all the diesel clears off otherwise your wheels will get dirty again when you start to ride. Another way is using WD 40. It is a lubricant actually that contains "Mineral Oil" which acts like a degreaser cleans the dirt on your chain but it's costly to do it. Spray it on a sponge and use it to wipe on your dirty wheels due to chain lube spray. Try it! Both works for me.

FatGrunt, Reserviced X 03 Loh!!!~

Tashi, thats a rite!! The steam!~ gosh~ Cos i ever saw a dog in my friend's farm which stares at something in the thin air and i took a picture of it and guess what. Some smoke-like thingy appeared in the picture. But it is of blue-ish smoke. The smoke of this current pic is more white. Must be the steam.

Philip, Do join in man. But of course got conditon lah.

Firstly, you got to upgrade your name to the Participants category.

Why must wait until run in the bike then join the outing?

Just tell the rest you are riding slow and that you don't know the way... they will wait for you at the turn offs.

One should always ride at a speed one is comfortable with. There is nothing wrong with reaching the place last, what is more important is arriving in one piece, safe and sound.
