Not so serious man.

When the bike starts, the coil will be charging the battery.

The electric current flows from Coil to rectifier to battery.

Coil - to provide charging current to battery.

Rectifier - The higher the bike revs, the higher the charging from the coil will be. So the function of rectifier is to make sure that only 15v is being charge to battery.

Another version of the explanation...

 

The Coil also known as Alternator Charging Coil provides Alternating Current (AC) when the engine is started.

This Alternating Current (AC) requires to pass through a Rectifier to convert it to Direct Current (DC) so your battery can be charged.

Direct Current (DC) is then regulated by your Regulator so that not more than 15.5V is being supplied to your battery even you Red Line your meter.

3 - Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6(M)(Sports)

by installin voltage stabliser and voltmeter to keep track of e voltage, will it helps??

Maybe......according to Raptor,there's a way to check if the coil is burn.

Coz when his got burnt,he brought his bike to BS since it was under warranty.

1 of the old mech there (there's a few) pulled out the wire socket connecting the

to the coil without opening the coil cover.He then connected the socket to another wire socket & at the end of the wire, a bulb was attached.When the bulb lights up

he told 3 coil burnt.Later,he opened up the coil cover & true enough 3 coil were

burnt.A very experienced mech i must say ! Pm Raptor as he was there when the BS mech did that infront of his eyes.He can explain better :thumb:

For details, you can refer to the CBR1000RR Service Manual.

Page 525 of 586 if you got the soft copy.

Page 17-8 if you got the hard copy.

Its under the topic Alternator Charging Coil Inspection.

Maybe someone can provide the link to download the service manual for our new CBR1000RR owners? Chilly? :-)

Erm... bros, gt smething wan 2 find out from u all... one nite i was riding in heavy rain n stop at the traffic light... i was shocked to c my idling dropped to abt 1k rpm n the bike seems 2 b beri weak... my normal idling rpm is 1.5k.. n 1 more question.. does ur mototiam give u BS warranty when u buy the repsol cbr1k n cums wif the stickers??? coz mine dun hav... :confused:

That's normal in heavy rain.

 

Warranty got to check with someone else.
