Hi to all CBR1000RR riders here,

I can see that most of you guys enjoyed riding the CBR1000RR from your discussion in this thread. :cheer: which of cos makes people happy to read them.

Currently, I am thinking of getting either the 04 R1 or the CBR1000RR. Can anyone who rides the CBR1000RR tell me more about the bike itself?

Hmm, things that I like to know will be

1. How hot the bike can get, the frame, seat, tank etc?

2. Pillion comfortable, any comments about the heat from the exhaust?

3. handling?

4. Power delivery, any surge along the rpm, ?

I believe that CBR1000RR is as the rest of the HONDAs are, a very reliable bike with a durable 8 piece clutch and a maintainece-free cam ten.... etc.

which itself is already a very good buying point. Not to mention about the kinda of

package the CBR1000RR has to offer (eg HESD..)

Most probably, the down points for the CBR1000RR as compared to the 04 R1 will be the design wise, but its subjective! Some say yes, some say no. Also the CBR1000RR from reviews by overseas magz, is that its very user-friendly, hence its not as track-focussed as the R1s. But depending on what is your purpose. :)

Anyway, I really hope to hear soon from you guys who are riding the CBR1000RR personally. So that I can better make the decision of what bike to get.

Thanks!:cheer:

If you have read my prev. post, I did mention that the bike is hotter than the 954. But you won't get heat rashes on your inner thighs as the tank cover is plastic. And because of this, it feels cooler to ride than the 954. When the fan do come on, the pillion will feel the heat, I don't know how.

Low speed, pillion will feel the heat on the right leg, high speed, the heat can be felt in the back.

Heat is the least of my worries I would say.

The total control concept that went into this bike is not just a marketing gimmick. Those who have tried all litre bikes all swear by the RR4. I haven't tried all bikes, so I can't give my comment.

Wait, I did try a K3. I couldn't wait to get off it and get back on the RR4. And when the K3 guy sat on the RR4, he said, "you made the right choice!" And then he kept eyeing my bike all over and asked me to sell it to him.

The power delivery is quite linear, so no surprises throughout the rev range. Some may like it the other way round.

The same K3 guy also sent me an SMS telling me of how a huge guy on the stock RR4 beat a modded 04R1 on top speed on the way to Malacca.

Then there are others who PM me telling me how a RR4 beat a ZX10R.

But speed and power shouldn't be in the equation if you ask me unless you're using the bike solely for track, like Ed.

The 04R1 is nice, but I just couldn't bring myself to accept the "love seat".

I had seen my graph before and the hp graph is smooth throughout the range.

On the torque graph, there is a flat spot(not surge), from 4k to 5k rpm.

Done at loois factory dyno, my bike is stock at that time, figures are 152hp & 80.41 torque.

since u r comparing the rr4 with the 04r1 (not bike biased here, just normal discussion), maybe u would like to read the bikes performance magazine of this month issue, something happen to the rider while doing something and what they suspect cause it. of course, rider skill plays a part.

The footpeg of the rr4 is raise higher to suit the track, and the 04r1 is lowered for better road comfort. so i dun noe why u have this idea that the rr4 is build a lesser track focus bike... anyway, u can always change the footpeg. hahaha, i noe this is not what u mean lah. all i can say is user friendly doesn't mean not track focus. infact a more composed bike, make a better track bike.

The heat from the rider point of feel:

i noe the bike is hot, but i didn't feel it much. infact, this bike is cooler than my previous rvf. maybe due to not only the tank is not metal, but oso becos there is a plastic padding along the frame to further protect our legs.

And tashi, u noe what, today during jams to school, my fan wasn't open at all. the engine ice is definitely working man. hehehehe.

My gf got same comments as of tashi pillion feedback.

but u can ask ISE how he felt on my bike with bermudas and shoes without socks.

ISE r u there?

Handling? hehehe, i got a lot to say about it.

But no matter which bike u take, u will not be wrong.

Infact, i nearly bought the 04r1.:thumb:
