My friend, David, used to had a model shop..

His models stock pile was huge..

he'll be selling his models at jaw drop prices..

eg: the ZX-RR selling at $45.. shops selling at at least $50plus..

i have arranged with him on the 4th Jan 2009 to go his place if anyone is interested in the models.. time will be 12noon onwards..

besides bikes, there are cars, tanks, planes and gundams.. from various brands like Tamiya, Bandai, Fujimi and Aoshima..

PM me for the details..

There's many different types of paint..

their quality and uses are different too..

commercial paint off the shelves of hardware store contains too much chemicals as they are meant of outdoor usage, etc..

these chemicals may "eat" the plastics..

normally these paints are "thick".. if used on models, the paint will cover up all the panel lines..

you had a set of airbrush?? using bottles of paint thru airbrush actually is cheaper in the long run..

most Tamiya spray cans can do up to 1 and 1/2 cars is used correctly..

many thin layers are advised over 1 thick layer..

I done up the older ZX12 in candy lime green..

will take some pics and post soon..

try practising on cheaper older models first..

mrcheese - thx for your sms, i went down to Stargek tis afternoon and bought the Drift spec wheels. anyway i check that my ESC is only forward/brake. no reverse. i think i am good to go. Really impressed that the car still works well after 10yrs. The boss Tony of Stargek told me that no matter how old is the tamiya R/C do not throw it away or dump it , it is valuable.

MC28 - i will make do with the present stuff at the moment till i get a hang of it then i go down to Stargek to spend more $$$. thx!

Try doing a reverse while the car is drifting...Nice...

Speaking of which, i think it's time to get my butt of my chair @ home and go for some drifting..
