problem wif my scoot

 

was juz wondering if any of u scooter riders facing this problem...

im riding a foresight 250cc.. juz went for overhaul, change block and serviced the whole engine + gearbox... washed carb n tuned...

previously had a problem wif backfire and engine dies off when hard braking but tat were solved... now got a new problem... i find tat moving off is like a drag... its not smooth... its like very slow pick up... its like u engage 3rd gear and move off... sounds like the engine is goin to die off...

anyone noe wat tis symtoms means?? my foresight is using a re-bore block and upsize piston... previously it is oso using this size and it din gave me tis prob..

rollers?? rollers are ok n he greased it.. well i sent to bikeworkz... i always sent there for my superfour... not really too sure if he has experience on scoots... any links to where i can get details on how tis auto bike works?? like the multivar, the diff weight of rollers how it works and so on... help will be deeply appreciated... thank you so much !!

Erm,just ride it down to future scootering.look for Kenny.let him check out your bike.i`m not working for him,he is a gd fren.very nice.he may be able to help.u wanna know how auto scooter works?go to youtube,n search,they have videos on how it works.

i ride a 98 Foresight and have had my scoot's transmission changed. From wat u have mentioned, it seems dat ur trans is not delivering the power from the engine. I am no expert, but i do not mind taking a look at ur bike juz to help u out ( plus our bikes are seldom seen on the road, so it'd be nice to get feedback from riders of the same bike ..hehe)..provided that u'd like to receive my help..

 

I am ok to meet tmr sat morning (12/4), from 9am till nn..

i can meet u at LAB if u wan...i think dats rather central.Maybe at ard 10 am, coz i need to run an errand at abt 9 till 10am. I would appreciate it if i could get ur number so dat if i am running late, i could let u know and u could plan ahead.

 

With regards to bike shops,from LAB there are a few scoot speciality shops that we could go...i guess they wont charge u if no parts are replaced or repairs are done....tho i could/might be wrong.Anyways, its gd and polite to check before we commit to anything..

 

Just to retrace ur steps abit..did the bike gave u dis issue b4 u had the big bore done?..any vibrations when moving off? ..just to start off a discussion..

to tell u frankly, the big bore was done even b4 the previous owner... its not vibration when moving off... its like riding a gear bike den u engage gear 3 and move off... its like the bike wan to die off... dat kind of feelin... yah so i dun hve erli acceleration... i can only accelerate faster after 30km/h... b4 my repairs, the bike dun hve tis problem... yah so im guessing is juz the configuration wrong... maybe rollers weight or carb jetting... anyone tried upsize their jetting??

No worries..gd thing didnt meet up coz i was held up.i agree with marcuslim on not greasing rollers. The only grease that i see the mech applying are on the pins of the torque drivers.

 

I had the issue of 'the bike like wan to die off' or stalling at that speed range once before.What i experience was the bike vibrated vigorously at the speed range of 10 - 20 km/h and only accelerated abv 30km/h.

 

I knew it was clutch slip coz it only happened at the low end, altho high end suffered too. Had the clutch and clutch bell change to aftermarket, n all is well.

 

Tho now, i still suffer from it but its tolerable. FYI, my rollers weights are 18.5g as compared to the 22 g of the original. Wat i felt before and after the change was very satisfying, but i tell myself, its a 10 yr old,250cc, single cylinder bike and it will not take off like 400 cc, 4 cylinder bike, so i am rather easy and settled with dat.

 

i hope u'll get everything sorted out, and get max enjoyment out of our old ride...

huh?? rollers shldnt be greased?? maybe tat is wat causing the problem... anyway problem is only on the low end when moving off frm stationary... i still manage to get 110km/h on my meter and its kind of accurate though paced wif a superfour... but i ever got top speed of 120km/h ++ on my meter... dunno warts my actual speed though... dammz... i guess i'll be goin down future scootering to hve my bike checked... but den again, onlie left wif 2 years... im still contemplating if i shld change to multivar and malossi delta clutch... dun find it worth it though if not renewing coe... taut of upgrading to SW400... hehe

i was ridin my 06 at 110 wen all of a sudden e engine oil light blinking..n my bike slow down n halt...wen i tried to restart it..it produce tis loud squeaking sound..b4 tat there is a leakage of engine oil i think..maybe bcos of e gasket..anione hav any idea wats wrong wif it? coz i used to experience tis wen usin my 2 stroke last time..but tat is symptom of piston jam...n since im new to 4 strokes,anione know wats wrong wif it?? n how much i nid to fork out in order to repair it???
