Go to the 3rd floor of the driving range, look for an office with window. Ask the cashier there for their store value card.

 

Top up the card to the amount you are comfortable with.

 

Then bring the card (with value) to a golf ball vending machine. Insert the card and press the buttons(All instruction on the machine).

 

Make sure you have a basket handy at where the balls are being dispensed.

 

Select a driving range, 'chop' the space, do your warm up and start thwacking the balls lor.

careful the 3 woods....people tend to lose the heads easily at the driving range....its always that number which the range marshall always picked up on the grass out there.

I think I will stick to Throttle's advice of using 7 & 5 irons first. Got to get into action soon. Hmmm.........probably will try on the 2nd of Feb.

dont think you can use woods on the upper levels of range.

 

becos if you are long hitter , may whack ball over the netting.

 

In the past that was what we did at parkland (east coast)

compete on how many bALLs hit over the driving range netting.

I would usually be at Mandai range cos the range balls there are by far the cheapest other than Toa Payoh. I am trying to get my Drivers and Woods to hit straight now.

but the balls there are good, actual green balls. been there once but only watched while my frens practiced. sooooo crowded !

Actually, I took my PC lessons there. So the top right corner is where my coach would be. I would go play around 7~8 pm when it is not really so crowded. Rate there is $0.05 per ball.

 

Another nice place to drive is Orchid CC. But there is a cover charge of $5 per card when you go there, so just use one card to play. Rate is $0.055 per ball.

 

Heard that the Toa Payoh range is by far the cheapest but I haven't been there yet...

yep OCC has a beautiful range. the only thing i dont like is the bay charge.

it was the first time she was thwacking the balls at the driving range.

Bought Oakley Zero years back for Golf & so far still feels it fits best when playing coz its light and covers the eye area well. Price not tat expensive too, duno if still have tis model around. Worth to check it out
